Unchecked power corrupts most people, be it men or women. When women hold disproportionate legal power over their husbands thanks to sexist family court, biased legal system, and culture which strictly focused on female well-being - women become a huge liability. Here's all you need to know.

60% of marriages end in divorce before 10 years. 70% don't make it to 20 years. Only 7% of marriages make it to the 50 year point. Almost 80% of divorces are initiated by women. Marriage is a "lifetime contract" that women in general don't respect.

When a divorce happens the woman usually gets the house, kids, and child support. (and alimony depending on the state) She experiences very little drop in economic status and quality of life. The man is forced to leave his whole world and begin anew FAR below his previous accommodations. His ability to see his kids is regulated by the mother and is sometimes used as a bargaining chip against him.

Happy marriages happen. Good partnerships exist. But they are FAR from the norm. Given those facts. Men are litteraly risking everything on "love." The odds are not good.

Men who have been through divorce will most likely not repeat that "mistake." Young MGTOWs see the numbers, trust their elders and choose not to walk that path. We choose men for companionship, pets for unconditional love, and keep our resources for ourselves. That means the only thing we need or want from women is sex. Since women enjoy sex and give it away so freely...why would we get married?

I still have respect for women as well as very much attracted to them. Even though things were very crazy I’m still friendly with my ex wife and two ex gf I had committed long term relationships with. No simpn’ out to them as we all have moved on. I wish them health and happiness but boundaries have been respected.

My mindset since MGTOW is I’m a better man when I’m single being healthier and more productive. I tried to make it work but at this point in life I’m going to focus on me. From what I experienced along with the social climate I just don’t have a place for a woman in my life any longer.

Like women tend to do towards men? Generalizations is based on what is mostly common, like that people from Asia tend to be short. There are exceptions but not that many.

One main problem is that there are different rules/norms towards the sexes. Men can't act in certain ways and women get away with more, so called, shitty behaviour. Furthermore not only does the norms control men in a harsher way, it goes in to the laws as well. Example of this is at a pub, a man can get accused and charged for rape, rape attempt, assult for touching a womans bum. While if a woman grab a mans crotch all she can fear is rejection. As the norm states that it's more accepted because a woman can't hurt a man and at the court the man risk to be ridiculed.

MGTOW allows men to put themself in the first room. To focus on what is good for them instead of having their energy, and resources, drained from both society (though they are still forced to pay taxes which tends to go mostly to women overall) and people.

If you can't change the enviorment you're forced to deal with, all that is left to do is to leave it. Basically.

My attitude towards women is that we need to grow up and start to take responsibility for our actions.

The hate you occasionally see here is most commonly associated with "Red pill Rage". When a man discovers that the world is inherently unfair, and biased towards women, who in turn are societally conditioned towards hypergamy and misandry, his initial response tends to be anger.

It takes time for that anger to burn out, and during that time, men often seek out others who understand the position they are in and what they are feeling. Hence the angry posts you see here in this community.

Eventually, the rage fades, and it is replaced by indifference. We write women off. I certainly don't hate women. I'm wary of the legal power they hold over me, and my female friend count has dropped to four over the past decade. But I don't hate women on any sort of principle.

I am more mellow than some MGTOW. My attitude to awalt is it's not a literal statement but more. Some women are like that? can you reliably spot the women who are like that? no. what happens if you guess wrong? your reputation, career, wealth and property are painfully extracted from you leaving you a broken husk.

We generalize based on anthropology and evolutionary psychology and mass anecdotal experience. Im sure most guys here know there are exceptions, but not enough of them for it to be worth it.

Many men here are quality men dating quality women. Although you will see a confirmation bias of only bad or interesting stories as those are the only ones worth posting. A women wont know what its like to be a guy dating a woman or getting divorce raped, so its hard for you to say its prevalence.

We aren't happy because we have all the responsibility without any authority. We have to do all the work of pleasing and courting. The dating market is against us because of our sex drive, the government is against us because of the "women are wonderful" effect and our sacrificial nature. We have massive problems that no one gives a shit out. We get very little validation about anything. Our very masculine nature is demonized.
We dont hate women, we are just mad we have been taken advantage of and lied to for most of our lives. We are all trying to become indifferent to dating through redpilling ourselves (See: mocking stupid women and reading stories of disparities in the law and culture). Those who are hateful or in the redpill rage too long are a vocal minority.
This philosophy is a self defense mechanism to the offense oriented feminism and gynocentrism. We all literally just want to survive and enjoy ourselves.

I think the sub goes too far, frankly. Then again, I suspect US has it much worse than Europe, so maybe that's why US guys are more polarised, and I suspect they are driving the culture.

Anyway, "AWALT" is a model. As any model, it's not a perfect fit, it's a generalisation. There will always be outliers. But on average, I believe it's quite accurate.

I think we should go beyond AWALT and simply stick to the mechanics. Guys are attracted to beauty in a way women are simply not. Women are attracted to strength, status, power. Men fall in love in a way women don't. In essence, emotionally men are the weakest sex (in general).

That's why women are only really attracted to "bad boys", because there the model shifts and women are the persuers while men don't give a fuck.

Can you say this dynamic is wrong? Honestly? If we accept this dynamic, we need to consider how it influences the relationship. We are not equal in a relationship. Men crave women, but women don't crave men. So a man who falls in love is in a very, very weak position. And now with tinder and all, he's going to be played. AWALT applies. If he marries, he's going to be used as a provider, because he's not loved the way he loves. Relationship simply is not equal.

And with all the alimony and CS bullshit, men who leave such abusive relationship are enslaved for the rest of their lives.

It's very hard to not develop hate towards women in such setup. Personally, am I angry? Yes. I've been played by the woman I have kids with. I loved her dearly (still do), and it took me a long, long time to realise she simply doesn't love me back. She settled for the best she could, that's all. So I've been lied to.

First, MGTOW is not about hating women, it really has nothing to do with women.

It's a lifestyle that men choose in order to protect themselves from the hyper-punitive laws that society has that disproportionately disadvantage men.

A lot of the choices that MGTOW make though, relate to women. Never marry, never live with a woman, never get a woman pregnant, never agree to take care of another man's child, and many others, don't talk to women on college campus and never have relationships with women at your university.

These rules relate to choices around women, but don't have to do with women themselves, or how men feel about women. It's because those choices hand over control to the woman you're in a relationship with, the state or government, or the university you're attending.

Our society makes men responsible, that's the way it's set up. MGTOW don't hate women, so respectfully, your comment is a little ignorant. MGTOW just understand objective reality and know how to mitigate risks that society poses.

Now, some men have learned this by being burned. So yes, there is anger. It's righteous anger and men deal with anger differently. So we're ok with each other expressing anger at crappy things that have happened, because in so doing (expressing anger) we're also sharing our experiences and teaching younger men what the risks are and why going MGTOW makes logical sense for every young man today.

So your question really misses the point about MGTOW, it's not about why or why not a MGTOW man may hate a particular woman, it's not about hate. It's about a lifestyle based on an understanding of female nature (Read Rollo Tomassi's - The Rational Male) vis a vis how our society makes men, but not women, the responsible party when things go wrong. Those things lead to men being incarcerated, committing suicide, getting kicked out of college and losing their career prospects, dropping out of primary school, etc... all at higher rates than women. MGTOW accepts that society must look the other way when it comes to male suffering. If it recognizes male suffering then it would have to commit resources to fixing those problems, and those dollars are better spent on women and their problems. So there's no law that can be changed to make the lives of men better. If a man asks for help, he's seen as weak and a loser that doesn't deserve our help because he supposedly already has it better than every woman on the planet. So we shame and ridicule him. So men know that asking for help or having a 'Mennenist' group is a non-starter. Which makes MGTOW the only and best option for all men. Refuse to accept the prescription that society expects of you, and to only live for yourself and your own betterment. And basically don't ever put yourself in a position where someone else can screw you over.

It’s true I guess. Right now there’s a huge focus on women..I think it will calm down once attitudes towards women change a little.

Like sexual harassment- that does happen a lot. BUT there is such a weird area of consent now a days that it’s getting way out of control. A lot of women are hyper sensitive about harassment, but I wonder if that’s stemming from the new found support we are all getting. Like feeling comfortable enough to speak up about uncomfortable sexual situations.

Which is GOOD. Harassment is disgusting. However, there is a crooked sense of what is actually rape or harassment. People need to be more vocal and pay attention to body cues.
