Pardon me with my simple man math...but isn't the 44.8 men work still over ten hours more than the 'almost 34' women are working? This just seems like they're trying to skew the facts. Yes, women added almost 4 hours to their week, compared to men, who dropped 0.7 hours...but it doesn't change the fact that, on average, a man is working way more than the average woman.

Very old article (2004) which unsurprisingly has no comments on it. The click bait nature is upsetting but good to know it's been happening at least 14 years.

I do 40 hours (time sheeted), don't get paid overtime unless it's specifically green lighted for the project. Quite happy with that really, no pressure to do over the normal hours and my salary is not to be sniffed at.

I find most of my female friends do really long working weeks, my partner for instance does 50+ and gets paid in bonuses rather than overtime and have very good salaries (often better paid than men).

The narrative that women are treated unfairly and there is a visible wage gap is horse shit from my point of view. My friends are an example of putting in time and effort and getting financially rewarded.
