My ex completely destroyed her career after she jumped on the feminism bandwagon. Her old career path was to work in government as part of something that I would consider noble. Her new path abandoned that idea, dropped out of university, and became some kind of anti-establishment crusader.
I can't explain it because it doesn't make sense. Suppose someone is severely disabled. The old version of her wanted the government to provide for people who can't work. The new version of her believes nobody should work for money, and we should just provide for each other as a community, so supporting government in the current system goes against her beliefs.
It's the kind of lazy mix of anarchy and communism that people believe when they don't have any kind of empathy or rational thought. People with jobs are not robots. If you try to hold them down and steal their lunch money, they will either fight or run away. My ancestors fled the Soviet Union, so I have an idea of what I would do in those circumstances.
