I sit here slaving away working on SEO standards for an "insurance company" website using bullshit standards created in the early 2000s that browsers still don't seem to support fully, virtually creating the mechanisms by hand in JavaScript on top of an even worst template framework that has no right existing (angularJS for those who care) and the only thing I can think about is why the fuck does it always come down to me and about 6 other male programmers at the office when it comes to mission critical tasks that have to be done yesterday that consume more brain power and effort then my calculus classes ever even tried to require. Why do we spend 25% of our time rewriting code written by a department that actually has a 50% male/female ratio (hint, it's not a coincidence).

Then of course I realize, why the hell do I need to realize anything... "PM_ME_UR_HOT_PIXELS, you've lurked TRP for over a year now, hell you created a different reddit username just in case those fancy pants employers that hire people decide to google your email". Then after I stopped talking to myself in the third person I realized a couple of things that I've sorta always known.

This is seriously fucked up

But do I TRULY have proof? I mean I've been a programmer and come from an science and math education and surely my fellow graduates were also around 50% female? Surely not all the female students and programmers I've dealt with require a pair of testicles to help them get ahead?

Hmm, off to Facebook we go...

  1. Oh my ex, she has the same degree I have, oh wait she's on disability for "bi-polar disorder". Strange how my brother also has bi-polar disorder and he's a pharmacist... Oh well let me try again.

  2. Hmm the cute chick in pre-calc, I remember talking to her, I sorta remember smoking pot with her and her Facebook says she has a masters in English. Oh... her husband works on cars and they live in a house, why doesn't she work?

  3. Oh here's a web developer I met at a Jupitor Media conference in 2011, let me check her website... oh domain expired. Hmm let me check her on LinkedIn... Oh she's a chef now, well my mom cooked good food so I guess I can't judge here other then her gravitating against a STEM based job.

  4. And lastly this woman I worked with 4 years ago, apparently she was only a programmer for 4 months then became a UX developer. These people only exist in large companies and are generally the in-between people for designers and the programmers. Honestly they're useless, they jobs pretty much consist of telling and sometimes dumbed down prototyping programmers what the designers want, which anybody who used a website can do.

I guess like any drug, TRP has it's side effects.

Slowly but surely the ideas of society about women, the workplace, hell my own thoughts are being ripped from my ego and the end result may be what some of you like to call the anger phase. But I suppose it's time to man up. First let's make sure you're grounded. How?

Well like mentioned before I've studied TRP, at first it seemed like a fantasy that I should look up to, then I sorta wished I grew up on a lot of it.

Three things stuck out to me.

  1. Women are simply different, it's not hate speech to say "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH EVERY BITCH I WORK WITH" (to put it lightly). They simply aren't as analytical, not as good when it comes to tasks like math, science, and engineering.
  2. Women can love you, but only love you as long as it's maintained. Any woman who say's they'll love you forever is either an idiot or using you. Wait so then women don't really love you in the traditional sense then. Ahh that clears up a lot (and now I'm angry again).
  3. Women are capable of 2 kinds of love, I forgot the names of them but let's call it BETA love and ALPHA love. BETA love is the need to take care of but not respect, ALPHA love is the need to respect and be controlled but not control.

And like any applied science it boils down to some simple truths (and more lists!):

  1. Without getting into detail (you guys know anyway) every action I take with the other sex can largely be ALPHA or BETA and those interactions can benefit me not only in my love life but my professional life too. How the FUCK did I let a bunch of people drag down an entire department! If I had a nice set of tits I'm sure the other programmers would pick up the slack too.
  2. From an outside perspective I truly should treat all women like teenage girls. Some of you may agree and maybe some of you don't but when my experience tells me that women tend to be emotional and use their emotions to get their way, and obviously even with college don't seem to get their shit together (at least in STEM fields) then maybe I should feel slightly superior, hell my confidence could use it...

I read a couple weeks ago on here 2 different articles, 1 article said you should treat women like shit because they deserve it, the other article said you should treat women like shit NOT because they deserve it.... but because they PROBABLY deserve it.

The difference? The distinction on how women are raised and how most women raised in a modern era. Now a days women can get away with this shit.

And here I thought that being a 6'4 tall white male gained me some unchecked privilege. Thanks TRP for crow baring my eyes open. The internet was wrong, you're not just about getting laid, you're about truths (and getting laid).

I'd like to close with an interesting interview with Milo that sums up some of this and how it's like in a similar work place.

EDIT: I swear I know the different between their and they're. 4am ranting at it's best :/
