So, I travel a lot for work. I'm only in the office rarely anymore. I'm friendly with pretty much everyone...or at least I used to be. Yesterday, I was in the office for QBRs/Strategy meetings and a co worker, female, walks up and says my name loudly and holds her arms out, like she wants a hug. So I just stand there and it starts to get awkward. She takes a step towards me. I step backwards in unison. I look at her and say "Sorry. That's not allowed anymore. Mike Pence rules. #MeToo." At first she looked mad, then sad, then laughed it off and walked away.

So another female co worker pulled me aside later and was like "That was mean. What's up with that? You've always been a super nice guy!" My response was "Well, if I'm honest, I see women as a group to be hostile and a threat to my paycheck and my freedom. Yes, I've known "F" for a decade and we're cool. On the other hand, I'm a single man with money and, in this current socio-economic environment, that makes me a giant target." Her response was typical "NAWALT. She would never do that to you!" My response "There is malace in everyone. If you need any examples of this, just look at history and realize that within you, me and everyone else is the capacity to be The Dali Llama or to be Mao." She had zero retort.
