Definitely how you are perceived to spend your money impacts how women look at you.

From what I've seen, in women's eyes -

Spending cash on crazy parties, travelling to more out there places and sports cars whilst living in a normal apartment = Alpha fux
Being "financially savvy" and buying yourself a nice home, keeping sums in the bank, investing and going to more mainstream destinations = Beta bux

Of course it's an illusion and you can be alpha in the second one but women don't tend to see it. They see your house they think you're their meal ticket.

A little more insight for you:

I've got money. Had a small, nice, ok apartment. Met a girl, we dated for awhile. Then I had to move... and moved into a seriously big amazing expensive apartment. (rent was tripled).

The first day she steps into it, she gets depressed. Because she knows this apartment will HELP ME get girls. She even starts talking about it. I could see her panicking that I had this new amazing apartment.

SO... Your girls are seeing your apartment and they KNOW it makes women wet (including them). Then they don't want to be one of the "sluts"... so yes, their ASD goes up.

It's just standard stuff you need to navigate past. Looks like you found a solution.

Pretty sure there were other posts of how nice looking homes/apartments actually deteriorate your chances of sex. I would just book a hotel (or fuck, buy an ok apartment for just fucking if you are loaded enough. Buy ones that will appreciate if you do not want to waste money) if you want to bang em.

Like others say, rent an apartment, or even a nice hotel room for the weekend. Bringing non-LTR women back to your place could turn out to be a mistake, especially when they see that you're wealthy. Crazy chicks would love to falsely accuse you in order to being you down to their level.

You're definitely on the right track, but I'd change my choice of words. Don't talk about being friends; that's disingenuous anyway. Just kiss and grope her, if she puts up resistance, pull back and give it another go after a few minutes. If she still gives you shit, say, "I think you should go now."
