Sorry but 5% is not a good risk to take wasting time in a meaningless relationship with 0 effort.

Everytime I’d ask a guy out, they would assume I was dtf immediately and they made absolutely zero effort yet expected so much. No thanks.

Everytime I asked a guy out, his interest in me dropped instantly. I've seen men go from super interested, everyone telling me he was falling hard, to cold in an instant. As soon as you make the first step, they all lose interest.

If a guy is not ready to take a little bit of risk to ask the girl he likes out, then he's not worth it in all honesty. It doesn't matter how handsome he is.

The best advice I've taken from this sub is "It's not the egg that swims to the sperm". It's so accurate.

All the guys that want women to do the first step are either : lazy, cowardly or are ill intentioned (they know that it puts women in a weaker position and they prey on that level of insecurity)

The funny thing is, as y'all have pointed out, it's not just about the asking. It spells out what the "relationship" is gonna be. These LVM guys think " you asked, so you plan the date, so you pay, so you chase me, you put in the effort. Why'd you ask me out if you don't wanna do all that?"

If you are interested in me enough, if you like me enough, all shyness and introvertedness be damned, you'll take that iniative and gather that courage and do it. If you can't, you're probably not worth my time. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I think they are lazy dusty or just not that interested if we have to ask them out. Then they can always say that later. They may go and try to get laid. How about just look good and a real man will ask you out

Yeah guys pretend to love women who ask them out and take matters in their own hands. I’ve done it a couple of times as I lacked the patience to play games. But it lead nowhere whatsoever. Truth is if a guy is into you, he will ask you out. If he doesn’t, it’s not because he’s waiting for you to make a move but because he’s not that into you, plain and simple. So IMO, asking a guy out doesn’t add value whatsoever, it’s just a waste of time and energy.

I've never even liked a guy enough really to ask him out. I tried asking a guy once because he was nice to me but he acted totally disinterested so I lost my interest immediately.

At this point I’m not even remotely interested in a guy unless he’s asked me out on a date, already showing interest first. Not sure if it’s a good or bad thing but one thing is for sure I will NEVER ask a man out, say “I love you” first, bring marriage/kids first, etc. Nope.

The only times I've ever told him I liked him was because of him flirting and me not being able to get away. Ie classmate, co worker. And I wanted him to either ask me out or shut the fuck up. And every time I asked the guy said no. I accepted it and let myself not get emotionally involved. Only for the dude to continue to hit on me, even one telling me he wanted to kiss me.

So no I'm not gonna ask dudes out. Too many dudes have been weird and unclear. I'd rather be asked out so I know for sure what's up.

I guess I'm glad that I almost never become interested in a man romantically unless I've noticed that he's into me. Not even the casual flirting, only if he's been consistently showing signs.

Even before I discovered FDS, I knew that if a man really liked you, he'd ask you out. I absolutely hate public speaking and yet I still try to do my best and I have done other very embarrassing things to achieve something I wanted. If I can get past my embarrassment and fear, why can't they? It makes me to not take them seriously at all as potential romantic partners if they wait around dropping hints but never ask me out. It's a huge turn-off.

The only time I almost (thank god I didn't) gave a guy who beat around the bush a chance, it turns out he wanted to be fwb first and see where things went from there.

Think about it this way. If he never mentions a relationship, even when the topic comes up, what would make you think that he wants one? He flirts, you go out on dates, you talk a lot, but no talk about relationship. Why? Because he's a fuckboy.

Then again, I like to start as friends first. If you don't know each other well enough yet, it doesn't make sense to immediately want a relationship.
