I relate.

1)Write a list of all negative thing about him. From petty to profound, “bad taste in shoes”, “has commitment issues” “is not a good friend” “is not growth mindset oriented” “has a shitty beard” ALL OF IT!

2) call or text friends to vent

3) do not call or text him!!!

4) write an “ideal partner” list. Include all the characteristics of your ideal mate and then compare it to what this fuckboy has to offer.

5) wash your hands of him and feel proud as fuck!

Remember that its a chemical addiction in your brain and you just want the hit of dopamine even if it's just looking at his social media. Don't do it! I like reading /r/exnocontact and /r/limerence also /r/dbtselfhelp to learn emotional regulation skills to help manage when these feelings strike. It's usually anxiety related to something else and we can use things as a distraction bc of the feel good chemicals it makes in our brain - is there anything you've been avoiding, are stressed about? etc. try and figure that out and focus on it as well as leveling up mentally, physically, spiritually. Watch releasing a person meditations on youtube as well as videos about no contact, love addiction, codependency, attachment theory, etc. etc. I also read a lot of self help books so if you want a list of those or other links to things lmk! Current fave is 'facing love addiction' and if you're really serious about the 12 step program go to a slaa meeting they'll help you
