Ex once threw out a whole dinner still in a pan through the window. He didn't help one bit making it, 2h in the kitchen by myself. He knew how to make me feel shit. He knew he was safe to do it, there was old unkept grass under the building where people left food for stray animals anyway. He did it only to hurt me after we argued and told me I made him do it as I "create" problems again. And that he doesnt want anything made by me anymore.

If it wasnt for me bringing up things Im not comfortable with, we would have a great relationship! I tell you all!

a good gauge of my interest in a man is whether or not I feel like cooking for him. Like with my current guy, I don't do anything fancy just put some chicken drumsticks in some marinade in the oven takes like 10 minutes, but I love to cook for us. but I've definitely dated people and I was like fuck that I do not want to cook for you... Or resentful when they're stuffing their fucking faces with my blueberry muffins

To this day, many years of dinners later, my husband still thanks me for every dinner I make. I always say he doesn’t have to, and he always says “I know” and does. He knows the value of a good home-cooked meal, and even though I’m currently home with the kids, he understands that cooking for my family isn’t something I was made to do, or that I owe, but something that I do out of love and he appreciates it. I would not, and did not, pull out all the stops and cook for others like I do for my family.

What is wife shit exactly? For me the plan is to be exactly the same before mariage and after. There are stuffs I do and some I don’t and I need to be sure he accepts that fully and see his exact actions with who I am. I wanna know what I get from him as well the same way.
