Okay, obviously the correct answer is to do what Odysseus did. Stay on the island and bang calypso till you get bored and then leave. What I would do in his shoes would be to refuse calypso and get back to Penelope since she was pretty much a unicorn and I like to reward good behavior

It depends on the resources available and that can be produced on the island.

When we add immortality to the mix everything that can possibly be build with the resources that exist there is something that I will eventually create. Time is no longer a limitant factor after all.

Lack of modern comforts is a huge negative but with enough resources (since I already would have all the time in the world) I could eventually mitigate it.

If we are defining calypso as the perfect partner by virtue of being a mythological creature created to fill that archetype then if I can find enough resources on the island to eventually mitigate the lack of modern comforts I would stay.

Immortality changes everything, thinking on the short term if you are literally immortal is stupid.

Provided I don't have any responsibilities in outside world (husband, children, etc), I'd stay. For long. Really long. Don't really care for the nympf thing, but after 500 years on the island basically left alone to create my own environment, I'd either leave as a crazy, tormented lady to kill myself just as I exit, or become some kind of enlightened budda-style being. Which sounds tempting.

Of course, once certain had been met, I may want to rise to greater things which are not possible to do on the island, thus I would need to leave to turn those idea's into a reality.
