I even have to worry about this and I have a male child. I have had the conversation with him numerous times. You can't touch people inappropriately and you can't let them touch you inappropriately. Watch out for strangers, especially older boys and men. It's a horrible conversation but so necessary. He's such a lovely child and not like a typical male child at all. He's not destructive, doesn't like doing dangerous things, loves all animas, has empathy.... His dad wasn't depraved or porn sick, just selfish. I hope I can continue parenting him into a rare, good man.

I never attended a sleepover until I was about 22 years old and that was in college. Growing up, when I'd ask to attend a sleep over, my parents would always be like "What is in their house that is not in my house?". Haha. It made me so mad back then but I can definitely appreciate that now.

My friend said she will be like this with her kids bc some of the kids we knew growing up, their home lives were fucking crazy. And my friend on reflecting on the few times she hung out at their places was like wtf thank God nothing happened. A girl we knew was sexually assaulted at a sleep over by another girls male relative. That relative went on to assault another child in the future. My friend is going to be home schooling her kids too, not giving them unsupervised internet access, and not letting them over to anyone's house unless she knows the family very well, and I don't blame her. I think in the world we live in, with easy access to porn and pedophilia as prevalent as ever, it's the only way to raise kids.
