When I very gingerly talk to people about why there's something very wrong with men who get off on abusing and/or degrading women, inevitably the counter argument is "some women are into that though". Are they really though? Were they abused when they were young or were they bullied by their partners into "liking" it? I would genuinely like to know. Conversely there are men who get off on being abused which is also probably rooted in past abuse. Maybe I'm being completely ignorant and there are other unrelated reasons. Personally, I just can't see why anyone really likes this kind of thing. Frankly it's frightening to me that so many guys are into BDSM now.

We have to teach already girls (and boys) about this and other form of violences (of course with age-appropriate words and examples given).

Make them see and stop it by withdrawing themselves, immediately going away from such men, abuse and violent behaviour.

On my goooood, there is so much I want to say about this. I feel EXTREMELY conflicted when it comes to this subject but there is SO MUCH I want to say. Idek know where to start, but you can look at my post history if you’re wondering where I’m coming from.

I’m a sexual masochist and have been in therapy on-and-off since I was a child specifically because of this; I don’t think anything in the world can change this about myself (I even attempted chemical castration two years ago). I’ve tried to commit suicide numerous times (and just narrowly avoided death a year-and-a-half ago) related to the sheer trauma I’ve experienced via BDSM. For nearly my entire life, this has been the bane of my existence.

I can’t even imagine what kind of person I would be if it weren’t for this. I’ve been this way since puberty, I don’t know how it started because I don’t believe anyone is born with a paraphilia, but I feel extremely unlucky to have ended up this way.

If there’s one single thing in the world that I feel I truly know about, it’s BDSM. I’ve never been in a vanilla relationship, and have literally never had a vanilla sexual experience in my life. This has always been a main pillar of my existence.

I know I’m at the very far extreme end of this, and there are some things that I’m still too traumatized to talk about, but when I see posts like this, it’s very hard to not to want to at least say something.

Im only just now starting to feel even vaguely ok because I’ve relapsed on a benzo addiction, but I can’t even describe how much this trauma has changed my life. If you by some chance saw my comments in the thread about Onlyfans/sex work and wondered why I’ve continued to work as a cam girl despite hating it and having a degree - it’s because it’s been too hard for me to hold-down a normal job where I have to act normal, be reliable, and show up to work every day; C-PTSD has completely scrambled my brain.

For the most part, I’ve completely abstained from sex for the last year-and-a-half. I now feel that I am situationally asexual and I have no idea how long this will last, but regardless, I still struggle with intrusive masochistic thoughts. I do anything and everything to avoid any media related to BDSM because it’s extremely triggering, but it doesn’t help. Even during my stint with chemical castration, I couldn’t control these thoughts I have. This is a hell I wouldn’t wish upon anyone and I’m very, very lonely.
