If I’m being honest, I don’t think what she said is bad. There are HVM out there and relationships shouldn’t be one sided. Be the best version of yourself and find someone who matches your energy-

Not one of my daughter’s father’s “bro’s” offered me or my daughter sympathy after he assaulted me for the 2nd time AND in front of her (she was 4 at the time), who was most definitely traumatized by it. If you’re not fighting injustices then you’re just as bad and will be labeled as an abuser too.

Damn. I hope she wakes up. Sure, #NotAllMen, but pretty sure MOST of them are either abusers or enablers. Either they're acting like trash, or they're turning a blind eye to their bros being trash, making them complicit in thinking it's okay, acceptable and no big deal, when you continue associating with them either way, so there's no social repercussions to treating others in inhumane way whatsoever.

When was the last time you saw a man defending women or children against the injustice, protecting them from abuse, stepping up to men acting nasty? That's very rare, because they're way more afraid of consequences of being an ally to innocents. Now that will get him bullied and being called a ”simp”, a ”white knight” or whatever. How dare you not give abusers free reign and not join in woman-hate, time to be kicked out of the toxic brotherhood ranks if you don't think preying on weaker is a wonderful pastime.

There will come a choice whether a man wants to assume the role of a protector, standing up to the injustice against women, making a world a slightly better place place for his mother, sister, potential wife and mother of his children, future daughters and granddaughters at the expense of socializing with misogynists. Or if he prefers being partially responsible for the endless women's abuse, rape, murder and trauma, because he turns a blind eye to incels giving abusive rape advice, making homemade bombs against civilians right under his nose or abusive stalkers battering a woman, someone taking advantage of a person in vulnerable state right before his eyes, but his ”bros before hoes” code would not let him interfere.

I’m sorry, but until we as a society CONSISTENTLY and EFFECTIVELY teach men that women should be treated with the same level of respect/love/trust/etc.—YES, IT IS ALL MEN. even the HVM of the world have the occasional LVM thought/tendency/subconscious-driven action. It’s how the man responds to those moments that makes a difference.

My (male) friend says men are scum who need to be restrained, especially sexually. The quality men are honest about that without any whataboutism. Why do it for them? A women who does this isn't even on men's side because she is contributing to a culture that makes it difficult for them to learn self control and circumspection.
