I'm not a Christian, but I find the concept of waiting until marriage for sex interesting. The argument is that sex is something special that should be shared in a loving relationship. I agree with that.

And I've often been reading that if a man waits to have sex till you're ready he is more likely to really be serious about you. However, couldn't it cause issues in the sense that a man might rush into a marriage just so he can have sex and then dump his wife despite the legal hassle of divorce?

Personally I haven't formed an opinion about it but I assume demanding to wait until marriage would weed out a lot of LVM. Either way, I definitely believe one should wait at least a few months and certainly until they have committed. But I'd still be very careful.
