I only know one person who was picked up and jailed on a warrant. He claims that he didn't know about it, and maybe he didn't - but the warrant was for a legitumate reason so even if he didn't know about that particular warrant, he still knew about the original case and wasn't taking care of it properly.

When the first few people wouldn't bail him out (no gf at the time) he was able to call on somebody else. So it isn't quite what you were asking, but in my mind he didn't deserve to use my money for his own selfish problem.

I bailed my ex out and he cheated on my with his “cousin”. You would think that would have been my pickmeisha low point, but there were many many more.

I was given a second chance myself, I woke up at forty and joined the FDS.

I didn't even bail out my own brother the last time he got arrested so I definitely can't see myself bailing out somebody's son for any reason. I am not Cookie the Bounty Hunter and I will not have some grown man released into my custody and be responsible for making sure he goes to his court dates as he should have been doing. Nosiree not me!

It depends on what the charge was and how he managed to not know he had the warrant. Did he really "not know"?

A warrant is hard to not know about.

There's odd situations though. Like when my boyfriend was a teenager, he had paid a traffic violation ticket, but somehow the payment was not received, and his license had been suspended. He didn't know this though. Then he was arrested when he got pulled over for a break light out and he was driving with a suspended license.

Obviously this was not a case of having a warrant, but it's an example of someone notn knowing that they had some charge against them / a pending case of some kind.

Would you be willing to share what the warrant is for?

I’m a no on this. I’d bail a friend out before a man, any day. But also, if one of my friends got arrested I’d know it was for a damn good reason. 😂

It's not about the warrant. It's that paying legal expenses is some family shit.

Boyfriend =/= husband

Whether or not I dump him depends on what the warrant is for and the circumstances around that situation. I'm not bonding him out but I'm also not making him sit. He's making himself sit by not having that shit together on his own.
