I always comment on the gender education gap. Everybody has heard about the math/science gap for girls. By the 12th grade, boys are 3 points higher in math and 4 points higher in science. No one talks about how girls are 13 points higher in reading and 24 points higher in writing. Everyone is surprised at how there is never an article on solving the much larger achievement gap for boys. It's a good example about how we don't really care about the equal outcomes of education. In general terms-

Equality is a myth. It is a fantasy. Nothing and nobody is equal. Nothing in nature is equal. Nothing in society is equal.

Equality, under the law, is a noble goal. Equality of access to public services, education, healthcare...noble goals...but anyone who thinks full equality is real is delusional.

No person is equal to another person. I will never be as smart as Einstein. I will never paint as well as Picasso. I will never be as fast as Bolt. That's not fair...but it's reality. None of us are equal.

Fairness is a child's theory. Reality is winners and losers. There will be a few winners...and a lot of losers. The societal problems we see today are largely because children were raised to think life should be fair and equal. It can't, it won't, and the only way to make everyone equal is if they are all equally poor, stupid, lazy, fat, and weak.

Where this applies to dating, expectations vs reality. Reality is not fair. Reality isn't a prince/princess waiting for you at the end of a rainbow...you have to do the work and earn it.

Unfortunately, in the quest for "fairness", men have been crushed through divorce laws, domestic violence drama, less access to education, jobs, loans, and similar...so men are both less inclined to get married and less attractive as they make less money and have fewer resources.

It's a perfect storm for people to end up single forever. The symptoms are things like TRP, MGTOW, and similar.

Sad deal...all from children refusing to accept reality and clinging to "fairness".

They are equal. Equal in human dignity and rights in a relationship. But modern usage of equal means to say "identical." Obviously men and women are not identical. Don't think you're inferior, but also don't think you're only free when you're the same as a man. Your power is your feminine wiles, not becoming like a man. Use your power to the fullest, as it's meant to. Good men actually want you to do this, but usually won't say it.

Most people don't listen. They wait to talk. They love to talk about themselves. Everything is all about them, all the time. You are just a bit player, a cameo in the big grand spectacle that is the Movie Of Their Life.

Something I've learned is it's a zero sum game to talk about your true opinions to most other people, because they don't value your opinion. They wait to talk, and if you say something they don't want to hear, you are wrong. You are wrong because you don't see the world exactly like them.

Anything related to TRP or TRPW principles, I think most people are better off not talking about it directly. Wait a person out, see if they can be trusted, if they have good critical thinking skills, and then bring up shades of it slowly and see how they react.

If the average woman, under which I had some obligation towards ( wife of a friend, a coworker, a person who shares the same group social activities, someone you meet at a party who is friends of someone within your social network) asked me this kind of question, I would deflect

I would

A) Turn anything said back into a complement to her B) I would reveal nothing about myself C) I would only reveal enough context to accentuate what she wants to talk about the most ( usually "her") D) I let her talk as much as she wants about herself ( usually people talking about themselves is their most favorite subject ever!) E) I would follow the base rules of never be boring, never discuss politics/religion/money/gossip, and appear to be an active listener

Most people out there are still "Plugged In" I don't think most care what anyone really thinks. It's all just a facade to appear politically correct and socially appropriate. No shortage of just plain fake ass people out there.

Talking about TRP or TRPW stuff will lean towards a lot of negative discussion. The topics are sort of brutal. Most people don't want to see the hard reality of some of it and how it reflects on them. Generally speaking, you are better off just being POSITIVE around people as a rule of thumb. You can be positive without being fake, it just means there's a certain amount of social massaging and social grace needed to maneuver around people sometimes.

My experience and perception is that when a woman asks me something, for advice or any opinion, most of the time, if I say something she doesn't want to hear or will make her feel bad about herself, I brace myself, because I expect her to be dismissive, attack on an ad hominem basis and plan to "punish" me for it later in some fashion.

I do think if you have super close people to you, whom you've known over time and trust is built and established, you can say whatever you want around them. But people who truly listen and listen with empathy is actually quite rare. It's one of the rarest gifts anyone can give you in this life, to actually take the time to listen to you in a genuine way.

I think men who project MRA stuff or manosphere or men's advocacy stuff in public to strangers are insane. Just insane. It's just people trolling for a fight.

Most women don't EVER want to feel about themselves or look bad to others in public. I mean NEVER EVER. So you start spouting stuff about men versus women and eventually she will relate the topic back to her. She will gauge is as you are saying negative things about HER. Because it's all about HER. She will dismiss you and then attack you if needed to NOT FEEL BAD EVER about herself and her choices and actions. As a guy, if it's not family or your marriage, no point in ever arguing with a woman about anything in public.

Women, most of them and esp the still plugged in, don't want to talk about what men aren't getting, they want to talk about what they themselves are not getting. Which is getting what they want, when they want it, as soon as they want it. Or else.

It's funny, but my new boyfriend and his friends seem to be under this spell. Thing is, I treat him like he's a man and not a child, and he seems to be taking charge more and more. I slip in observations about how men are generally treated badly by women and society at large. His friends' terrible (but "equal"!) relationships are perfect examples for me to comment on, and he agrees with me. I really think a lot of men are just indoctrinated into the equality thing without thinking about it, and then they are bullied by their girlfriends and wives into believing it.

Yeah, and I think my friends are having fun with it, while also realizing I speak the truth. It's like, I'm giving them permission to be honest with the situation with me, to speak up about the actual facts on how men are expected to take care of us, pay for dates, "go to the dog house if they're bad" etc etc.

I mean, they giggle a bit still. But I can see my friends (and their girlfriends) truly start thinking about this stuff now.

I immediately go to "why are you talking about equality" when it comes up.

When a man says it, it can come from a place of fear or a type of concern trolling. Like he might say such a thing because he wonders would you stay with him if there were even a whiff of an aroma of sexism on him. Being branded sexist or racist nowadays is a fireable offense. It's cruel and bizarre. Most men, and I can pretty much guarantee this, most people who are equal don't sit around thinking about how equal they are to each other. When someone says this it's usually because they think otherwise, or they think that who they're talking to could think otherwise or that they think that the other person thinks that they think otherwise. Complicated, but PC times call for stupid measures.

When a woman says it, it could come from a place of wanting to be validated and understood. It's the same way a guy would want it, he wants to be validated for not being a sexist pig, but the woman wants to be validated for not being a usable object to the man or to society. I find that people usually bring up discussions of equality because they feel somehow unequal.

Edit: I guess I don't offer too many opinions about equality, because it's such an inflammatory issue nowadays that even taking a side that appreciates both can infuriate extremists in the company who will just use a mature viewpoint to talk about oppression or "violence inherent in the system" as Monty Python brilliantly illustrated. My own side is private, but I feel like men get screwed a lot more than women by society now. At least in Western society. Elsewhere I'd differ, which is ironic, because if more women got a chance to spend time in what's becoming of Central Europe, the MIddle East, etc they'd really appreciate what they have in the USA

Usually people who want to talk about it are gonna have some kind of hang up, I smile and wave and avoid them. I prefer people who just treat all people with respect, that is what I look for. Actions speak louder than words.

If the conversation is not about "under law", it's pointless. The law is the only thing that matters.

The rest is about your own choices and that has nothing to do with me. How people think is not my business. Until thoughts and attitude are a crime, ya can leave me out of it.

Shit like "now that women work.... Blah blah" is dumb. Society adjusts to changes, if only ye would let it.

I think that in these conversations it is important to reference statistics where they are available.

Marriage rates aren't really going down, people are just waiting longer x

Since women started working, it's now easier for men to marry up and improve their economic standing through marriage x

Education, rather than feminist views, seem to be more important to whether or not a woman wants to wed x

Statistically speaking, men are still far more represented in politics, hold the highest positions in business and academia, and are far less likely to live in poverty.

So while I think that the "are we equal" debate has merit, no, I never tell men they are disadvantaged.

The word equal doesn't really have a meaning in this context, well actually it has like 3 of them. Equal in the eyes of God? Or of society? Do you mean paid equally for their work or punished equally for their crimes? Do you mean both in command at the same time? Equal was just a buzzword that fragranced liberal thinking, and it should be esteemed the exact same way: as a useless thing.
