Oooh Shemar as "Hondo" in SWAT demonstrates a few HV traits. He makes it his mission to protect women and children, he's always cooking (tofu stir fry 😍), he mentors young boys and shows up for the families he has helped, he's a strong member of the community. He listens to Jessica and goes out of his way to not let their relationship fall back on her. He's not right all the time, but overall such a manly character!

Literally watched his character in criminal minds and planted the seed that: No your career should not be your entire personality. You can also be your own definition of an athlete. You can renovate homes for fun and eventually use as rental property, outside of work.

It sounds silly as an adult but as a young kid the concept of a well-rounded, multifaceted adult is impossible to imagine.
