I used to have the most thick amazing, and beautiful hair. Of course it took a lot of work to take care of. I rarely wore it back because there was just too much of it. Even a pony tail would make my head sore from all the weight of my hair pulling down on it.

For the last 6 months I have lost approximately 2/3 of my hair due to my NP giving me long term steroid injections in my back. If she would have told me hair loss at such an extreme would happen I would not have gotten the injections.

I can now only wear my hair in a little bun...that can be held in place by one, yes only one, bobby pin. In the past those things were useless to me. Wearing my hair down just looks awful now. In the bun it isn't horrible but very boring. My hair is finally starting to grow back a little. Which is good but now I have all these little wispies all over my head that are hard to tame.

I can't wear a wig because they irritate my skin horribly and give me a rash on my scalp and around my scalp on my upper forehead. Plus they itch like crazy.

This may not sound like a big deal but to me it is. I'm above average in looks for my age, intelligent, have a sense of humor, and a good personality. My hair isn't changing those things but it has made me more self conscious with a boring bun...every day...for the last 5 months.

I would really like some suggestions on how I can change up my style. How do women with such thin, baby fine hair do anything decent with it?

If it would be helpful I can post before and after pics but I really prefer not to unless I can pw protect them for only group members?
