Absolutely. Do not fall in love with "what they could be." Wasting your time on a vision that isn't confirmed that they also share isn't worth it. Vet them. Ask important questions. If they don't check off and share thoughts/values, why put energy and emotions into that person?

-You don't want kids and he wants a big family? Sis, that isn't going to work. Vice versa. You want a big family and he may have already has a vasectomy. Do you both want a family, but you are determined to adopt and he is all for biological kids only? Not worth it.

-Do you both have the same faith/moral compass/philosophy(for Atheist queens!). If he is a Nihilist and you are a Humanist... That isn't going to work.

-What are your and his financial goals? Do they match? What about your material good style. If he values sneakers and Rolex, but you're a minimalist...You're going to drive each other insane.

This is just some basics, but fr, it isn't worth your effort or life to fall for someone who doesn't match your energy. Save yourself the headache.
