I do not mind marrying a housewife and paying for her. What I do mind is:

1- Her wanting to be independent using MY money

2- Refusing to look after kids and doing her chores/responsibilities

3- Giving me headaches 24/7 because I didn't buy her a luxury item which I can't afford

4- Wanting to divorce for trivial reasons which she made up

5- Being toxic, turning trivial events into huge problems

6- Always ungrateful

7- Refusing to have sex

8- Never smiling to me

If that's the kind of "housewife" I end up with then yes, I would be pissed off if she walks away with half my net worth.

For women it doesn't matter who they marry, whether the man is abusive or polite and caring, in either case they can walk away with half their husband's money. That's what's disturbing.

Not sure what the opinion in this sub are, but i prefer a partner that is independent and working. Kids are a different problem but so far im not looking forward to have any. I really want my freedom and my own apartment and any time she gets on my nerves i want the freedom to either throw her out or walk out of the door never having to see her again. That's not how it works at all. In reality what would happen is the woman would get to keep her $10k and the man would have to split his $100k and give her $50k.

So she now has $60k and he has $50k.

Women's assets do not get split in a divorce. They get to keep their half and whatever a man has he has to split it in half.

Women don't take half in a divorce if they are housewives. They take all the assets while the man gets all the debt. Then the women get half of what the man makes for the next 20 years via CS and Alimony. They spend all the Child Support money on themselves so the man then has to buy everything for the kids on top of the CS. That was my experience. I know its not uncommon.

Women take half when they have a job and make a similar amount of $ to the man. When they are housewives the law falsely assumes that they can never get a job, or more probably that they "deserve" to not work and live off of their ex until they die.
