Aw man I’m a huge Lost fan, but I do understand your reasoning. There was a lot of unfulfilled potential and off-putting weirdness later on for sure, although it gets unwarranted hate for the ending because most people completely misunderstood it (no they were not all dead the whole time, everything really did happen and Sawyer, Kate, Miles, Claire, etc survived, escaped the Island, probably led their normal lives, eventually died and met up with almost everyone else in the flash-sideways purgatory).

I 100% agree with GoT. Fuck seasons 7-8.

Tbh 98% of current TV is fucked. I often find myself rewatching old shows like Breaking Bad and 24 (Jack Bauer is the fucking man).

I personally stick with movies that were made up to 1990s. A lot of great westerns and action movies were made during that era.

To add the bizarre perspective from left field....

I quit watching TV about 1970, as a teen, and took up teaching myself skills... started with fly tying, then net knots and making fishing nets, then went to designing and crafting things of leather, lacing and sewing by hand... it went from there, into wood working and carpentry, into Construction, and into metal machining, black smithing, then metal fabrication...

And I never stopped.... What I discovered, was by giving up TV, I had time to learn and do all kinds of stuff.

And didnt get caught up living in a fairy tale world when not being a wage serf. Eventually figured out my hobbies added up to how I really wanted to live.

So probably not a popular opinion on this particular thread. But food for thought if you dont like how your fairy tales are going these days...

There are "real" things you can do with that time, instead of staring slack jawed at a screen.

Plenty of skills to be learned... from Martial Arts to weapons from any era of history...

And also gardening, permaculture, grafting, green houses, subsistence agriculture, etc.

I've studied them all, and done and made things...

And TV has only gotten worse since 1970...

Also has allowed me to not know who most actors are now...

Which is kinda nice with all their PC blather opinions now days...

I've never seen their movies, never impressed by their character immitating, and it puts their opinions into a true value perspective.

The terror was last show for cis males. No whymen, no SJW or forced diversity. Just bunch of sailors and royal Marines against elements , starvation and lead poisoning, if you have read a book it's even had some better moments.

I gave up TV when I was homeless and living in a hostel. When I finally got back on my own two feet, and got my own place, I did not miss TV one bit. So I didn't get a TV.

I have one now, but only because there's some good material on Amazon Prime, plus I can't go a day without watching Little Women L.A. (Crusty is such a bitch). Everything else is trash TV.

True Lost was great but kinda fell in quality last ~2 seasons. Just didnt feel as mysterious anymore. It's kinda hard for me to get into a series too nowadays I think i've seen all the good ones

Movies seem like so much shit these days. TV is on point though lately. Utopia springs to mind. Every time that fucking song comes on when that show is playing it's fucking awesome. The Boys. Friggen awesome. Preacher is so god damn fun and it's even more fun knowing Seth Rogan was involved in all that madness. I dunno, despite the downfall of Game of Thrones, it seems to me that movies have gone to complete shit and TV shows have taken up the throne.

I watch classic episodes of Doctor Who and The Expanse. Just a heads up the shows aren’t for everyone.

As for movies I’m kind of looking forward to Dune. Never read the book but looks interesting.

Tv and movies as of late have lost so much in quality.

I gave up on that one a few episodes in when I realized that the little girl (who wants to do boy things) will become the show's darling Mary Sue and just be obnoxiously put into the plot whenever possible.

Firefly and Arrested Development (s1-s3 only) are solid picks from the 2000s. I also really liked Last Resort, another 1 season show from mid-2010s that had a chance to wrap up the story.

I haven't watched tv or gone to movies for years. The only tv I've watched since then was when I was in the same room as someone who had it on. The only tv I'd watch now would be Lone Ranger reruns, or some of the old stuff from the Cartoon Channel. The only movies I could stand watching would have to have Jackie Chan.

Fear the Walking Dead was amazing for Seasons 1-3. 4-6 got new showrunners and if you thought the decline of Game of Thrones was bad, they turned this show into an absolute turd-festival.
