Once again the question is not, "Why are there so few marriageable men?" but rather, "Why are there so few marriageable women?"

Marriageable men already outnumber marriageable women by a significant margin, and it's getting worse. I'm just going to say it: I think fat women are disgusting... I don't really even see them as women in the sexual sense. That means that by the end of this decade 7/8 of women will have opted out of contention based on a single characteristic... and we haven't even gotten to n-count, drug use, kids, feminism, or anything else. We are fast approaching a time when the number of American women who possess even baseline desirability will be a small fraction of 1%.

I would normally point out that men will also be obese and overweight at a similar percentage. But we know the overweight and obese women are far more likely to think they shouldn't have to "settle" for these men than vice-versa

Although your wording very much implies : 100% men will want 12% of women who in turn only want less than 5% of men.

I don't doubt the latter part of this equation as it is already the case. I just don't think the first part fully tracks.

Thank god I learned about fitness and nutrition when I was younger. As someone that has studied and been obsessed with fitness his entire life, all I can do is LOL.

Still though, I wouldn't expect the vast majority of women to come to their senses with their demands for men though. If anything I've learned there is almost zero correlation between a woman's fitness/bodyfat/physique and what she demands of her ideal partner. If anything I'd say its probably more of an anti-correlation: ie the fatter they are, the more fit you MUST be (and they aren't gonna "settle" for less because they "deserve" it).

As women get fatter and the acceptable dating pool for men gets smaller, expect the push for "normalising" bodies ie fat acceptance to reach even higher volumes. The shaming tactics will be pushed ever higher and more extreme in order to try and punish men for a natural choice. Fat women are ugly, disgusting creatures. Men naturally look for youth, fertility and beauty...it's in our DNA to find a mate with an eye to procreation. Fat women, especially obese women have a much harder time conceiving and there are many dangers in being overweight to both mother and child during pregnancy, so why are women shocked that men prefer fit and healthy women?

Truth is women are LAZY. It takes hard work and discipline to maintain a healthy weight in today's food environment. Exercising some self control to have a salad instead of pizza and go for that long walk / run is a choice not to be fat and one that everyone can make, but few commit to.

It's really hot here in the UK right now and I was at my companies office in London yesterday. During the lunch hour I saw loads of men out running and hardly any women. The women were all sunbathing, taking selfies and lounging about. The men were doing the hard graft to remain in shape. That is pretty much a microcosm of modern women...take the easy road for self gratification not the required road for actual self fulfillment.

What will eventually happen though, because you cannot deny millions of years of evolution, is the blue pill morons with no self respect and less of a spine will go for it, while those with some semblance of a standard will start to look outside.

Think of what's currently happening is Sweden, it has the largest number of imported brides of any European country and the native born women, who are most often hateful fat feminists with rampant daddy issues don't like it and are trying to get it banned. Same thing will happen in the USA, in Sweden though the men have overwhelmingly said that if it does get banned then they will leave, same thing will happen in the USA.

Wanted her knees replaced, doctors kept telling her to drop 70 pounds first. She called them stupid, insisted she was not fat and kept trying new doctors until one agreed to do it. Eventually she moved in with a guy who was reasonably thin.

I think the bigger problem is that even with things the way they are now, divorce is still over 50%.

People need to be taught that marriage prefaced on love alone is doomed to fail. Finding friendship and cooperative strategies succeed far more.

My parents didn’t marry because they wanted to bang or just for looks. They both had similar desires and ambitions. Dealt with confrontation and issues in the same manner. And also had skills the other lacked or needed, making them much more likely to rely on each other and overcome obstacles for a better result.

As a result, they manage four businesses, have 90 employees now, my mother does the payroll and management and dad does the sales. And have been married over 40 years.

Marriage failure is due to bad strategies either not learned from parents or willfully ignored in rebellion. Dating is always going to be messy. We should focus more on marriage and solving that, as society has seen overwhelming upheaval since divorce could be sought for any reason other than violence, financial recklessness, etc.

Dating will always be difficult, but it has nothing to with obesity. That’s people being sold healthy foods in ridiculous portions. A 2 pound salad is just as unhealthy as a Big Mac. Especially with all the dressing, bacon, eggs, cheese, etc.

Focus on reducing portions, and learning how to not date for the sake of sex, but for the sake of an end result.

It is an interesting question. When I was dating I didn’t mind the ones a little into the overweight category too much but when I tried going out with an obese one I just couldn’t do it and had to bail. So I found my limit.

If every guy has a limit like that and it doesn’t move, then as obesity rates go up, things are going to hit an impasse.

I guess the tiny percent of men that are actually attracted to morbid obesity will have a field day as the only Chads around.

You guys do understand that BMI is bullshit. You can be “obese” or “overweight” according to BMI and still skinny. If you are short and skinny but have any muscle weight you may be considered obese by BMI.
