[Question] Is is possible to be MGTOW even if you have not been hurt by a woman you loved?

Several decades of experience. Never been seriously hurt by women, although I've had my fair share of liars/cheaters/stalkers.

Mostly I find women just a huge time drain and they rarely if ever add to my life. I give and they take. The reward just isn't worth all the hoops they make me jump through, the nagging, the costs, etc. Women aren't loyal, either, they constantly look for better guys.

There are good women out there. But the effort to find one isn't worth what you get when you do. My rule is never chase women. If the woman doesn't chase you, she isn't worth your time.

No, MGTOW, in its roots, is not about women. Certainly we all have to deal with women. That's just half our species. It's about you and you being free to make your life choices without being hindered or held back by others. There are many legal and society traps we need to be watchful of can prevent you from that freedom.

Yeah for sure you can. I’ve had normal, even great relationships/friendships with women throughout my life so far, and I have an awesome relationship with my mom. But this hasn’t stopped me from seeing how useless being in a sexual, long term relationship with a woman is in today’s world.

“Have the courage to use your own reason.” One of the best grade school teachers I ever had (unsurprisingly, a man) kept that written on the board all year. It’s an Emmanuel Kant quote, and really it is the essence of MGTOW.

You seem like a reasonable guy. And your reason has led you here, to MGTOW. You’re gonna be fine as long as you stay true to yourself. Which means not lying to yourself about what you want to do with your life. Fuck everyone else’s expectations, find out what works for you.

Simply yes. I think people often mistake MGTOW as a bunch of guys pissed off at women. But in reality it's not even close to that. It's about individualism and taking care of yourself regardless of past experiences, whatever that may be.

MGTOW is simply an idea where you say no to bullshit. I call my self a sensitive MGTOW because I still care about other people. And I enjoy the company of good women as long as they are. But I call bull shit on the self centered, self concerned, self serving, superficial, egotistical, egocentric, narcissistic, vain, disloyal, rude, self obsessed, self righteous, and pettiness when I see it. And it just happens to be mostly with Women especially when you get to know them long enough that they can let their facade down -AWALT-All woman are like that. Just be aware it will come eventually, be prepared to call them out on it -and be prepared to walk away when they start their conniption and you will be fine. It’s about not giving in to their bullshit that makes you MGTOW. But enjoy what they offer till then :)

However, In my experience you can be told something a thousand times...until you experience it yourself it CAN be hard to fully understand the benefits.

For example. My Dad told me from a VERY young age to ALWAYS save a portion of any money I obtained. Did I listen? no.

Only now, that I’ve lived a bit and had no money do I UNDERSTAND why he always said it.

I’ve been MGTOW for almost 2 years now, am only in my late twenties but was with the same woman for 8 years.

After we split (inititated by her), I started searching for answers and found myself here.

Now I’ve lived and READ the truth from thousands of other men, I can NEVER go back.

What I would add and something you’ll hear often once men go MGTOW is their life just takes off. It’s only been 2 years, but in that time I’ve eliminated all my debt, I own my car, tripled my income & learnt a new language.

Feel free to love, just be willing to let go when the time comes. KNOW what you’re getting yourself into. UNDERSTAND the nature of women as soon as possible and you’ll go far.

You are young put the fork in the socket. Go on. Best way to learn. I like how you young kids are trying to go mgtow, but I think you should at least experience it first. We could be lying. I went through just one long term relationship and knew where that shit was headed. I could see how marriage was going to be a shit show, so I decided early on not to mess with that. I am friends with them, but at a distance and avoid being alone with them.

I could be wrong though. I have no idea how chicks are at your age and at this time. I heard other young mgtows say chicks are horrible now even at early ages, so maybe you shouldn't do what I say. You should be able to judge your situation better than I can.

There is that tiny chance you might meet an actual good girl that is worth it. So at least try once imo. Maybe you guys don't need to go through that, but if you are going to put that fork in the socket, I would do it early as in when you are in high school.

Youre better off red pilling at your age. People are people and if you can work on your personality so that you are playful, cocky, and dominant, and not a submissive doormat, you can find a good woman who will stick with you, and the satisfaction you will get from being attractive and building yourself up, even if you decide to remain single, will make you orders of magnitude more happy. Its just a matter of working on "self mastery" as I've described in other posts and then working on your confidence level and sense of humor.

I decided not to get married over 25 years ago after seeing friends get screwed over in divorce court as well as a number of other situations showing legal bias against men in the courts. My relationships with women were actually OK--golddiggers in my late 20's seal the deal but no toxic behaviour experienced personally.

I attended my friends weddings. The women seemed normal. If a woman decided to fuck men over, the legal system will help her. Non servium.

There is nothing about MGTOW that requires hatred of women. It is simply about Men choosing their own path.

For me its about realizing that either by nature or nurture (likely both) as a man I instinctively compromise my wants for women in my life. Having recognized that I can make a choice to continue that or forge my own path, making myself the priority.

And in the interest of full disclosure, I am married I am fully aware of the what the laws are in my state and what my wife could walk away with. But since I went in wit my eyes open, as well as marrying later in life, I have my premarital assets including our primary home separate.

As long as that is your primary drive in life, you'll be just fine. MGTOW isn't necessarily about hating or even avoiding women, it's about prioritizing yourself and your goals ahead of the pursuit of women. You do whatever you need to do to protect yourself and get ahead in life, and if you can do so without avoiding women altogether, great! Even if you decide that it is safer to avoid women altogether, that's still great! You're going your own way, which is probabky different than my way or any other man's way. Your life is all about YOU and what is important to you. Don't let a woman or even another man define your life for you. That's your job.

I think the next 10 years will tell the tale. I'm encountering many more 17-22 year old young men who are just as happy being single playing some video games smoking a bowl and calling it a Friday night.

Week in week out Bar door counts and sales are down.

Most average dudes have realized at a much younger age how hypergamous women are and are not interested in being her wallet all week to see her ghost on sat night.

Homosexuality and bisexuality have had a lot more acceptance in the past 2 decades. 1990 might have seen 3% of population as out and proud. Now it's at like 15% or better.

I'm guessing 2030 will be a true tipping point for average women so far as them having to actually work to find a long term relationship in their 20s.

We are very close to that for the post wall 40 year olds. I know myself in a lot of cases I'm looking past 45 yr old women to their mid 20s daughters....

My theory is that most of us were MGTOWs before puberty and we just need to go back to that state:
"we did what we wanted & we did not care about what girls think ."
seems like MGTOW for me, without being "hurt by a woman we loved".
