1. He Treated Sandra Lee Badly He refused to marry her during their 2005-2019, 14 yr relationship because he was cAtHoLic, yet still lived and slept with her and supports abortion. Also still used her to raise his 3 girls from previous marriage to a Kennedy and keep house, soften and lend credibility to his image. Was likely cheating on her with staffers according to accounts and allowed her to be laughed at and marginalized, pushed out of his office. Dailymail insists she carried around a photo of an engagement ring she wanted. Some claim their split may’ve been due to a loss of attraction after her breast cancer operations.

Excerpt from NY Post:

“Aside from the suspicion of romantic relationships, Cuomo also cultivated a “mean girls” atmosphere inside his office where he allowed his staff to make fun of Lee — and encouraged them to hide his calendar from her and prevent her from joining him at events.

During scheduling calls, the ex-senior staffer recalled, “I would ask whether Sandra was going on a trip with Andrew, and all the mean girls like Stephanie Benton and [current Cuomo director of scheduling] Annabel Walsh would start laughing and say nothing. They would be rolling their eyes.”

One of the last times “that Sandra attended an event with Andrew was the Pride Parade in the city in June 2018. She loved coming and it was a really important event to her.

“And people from the office were hostile, they totally ignored her. She had her sunglasses on the whole time and looked so sad.

  1. He Triangulates People Staffer claims he took a selfie of them together and rubbed her ass as the photo was being taken. The photo came out shaky and had to be taken again. He then strictly ordered her not to share it with a soul but told her to send it to another young female staffer there who also claims to have been sexually harassed by him. Staffer #1 felt it was to make the other girl jealous. It seems clear that he mayve triangulated Lee with staffers too making her feel the need to compete against these younger women. And also marginalizing her by keeping her out of her schedule and having female schedulers and secretaries play keep away with her when it came to his schedule and whereabouts. He was known to claim to be working while instead entering the bar in the adjoining building to entertain young staffers late into the night.

This is interesting to me coming out of an environment with a powerful male boss who I constantly saw triangulating women including his 10 year live in girlfriend whom he refused to marry, against a colleague he flirted with inappropriately etc. I felt he used me as his younger assistant to make them insecure and jealous by having me text him at certain times etc. And he also used his office side piece to sort of show off in front of me. Making sure I see them walking down the hall just a fraction of an inch from holding hands only to disappear for 1 hour. I felt he made sure to look at me as much as possible as a young woman tween they were around to make his older side piece jealous.

So all of that felt super families to me

It makes them feel powerful and sought after, hot, in demand. Like women are just all over them to play several against each other and try and make themselves the prize. Because what 63 year old man really just has women all over him?

  1. People say he cultivated a mean girl culture in the office

Knowing the the most senior female staffers bullied and shouted at, harassed via email the younger ones he showed interest in. Sometimes commenting on it- How are the mean girls today, but doing nothing to correct it.

Same thing I witnessed this in my own office. It was clear I was being pushed around by older women who mayve been jealous of my advancement their and his favor and some very inappropriate things were said and done by these women that never should’ve been, but he winked at and ignored it.

I think men like this like to play women against each other and play up division and pick me culture because us not getting along gives them the upper hand and serves their interest. They revel in, are almost amused by us not getting along. And see in it an opportunity to get a foot up.

I just found it interesting how familiar some of this sounded having worked in offices with powerful men before.
