Within your religion the only alternative to marriage is abstinence. To protect yourself financially either make sure you never have any money or only marry someone who is richer than you.

Even a prenup is sketchy. A judge can throw it out for almost any reason. Best way to make sure it sticks:

both parties have lawyers present
date for signing and negotiation planned well in advance so its not a surprise
notarize it immediately
even maybe witnesses as well

If the judge feels one person was coerced or taken advantage of they will just toss it out so you have to really check all the boxes

As per NYC rules and regs "Domestic Partnership is a legal relationship permitted under the laws of the State and City of New York for couples that have a close and committed personal relationship. If you can find a woman or man if that’s your thing..to get married to, and the checklist looks good, then yes. There are still men and women who get along and have happy marriages. But you would definitely have to put them through a vetting process. And if they don't accept the concept of prenups, then no. Cause these days, everyone should be entitled to prenups. People wanna get insurance for all types of things, but think there shouldn't be something for a marriage? Fk that lol. Marriages in Western Civilizations fail more than they work. And if something happens, men should just accept getting railroaded in court? Hell no. Feminists will blame the patriarchy and somehow find prenups sexist towards women. But have no issue validating the constant bias against men in family court.

Christian marriage is marriage in the eyes of God. A devotion to a single partner. So long as the two of you only have sex with each other and only for procreation. Just have a priest anoint your partnership and you should be good. But check with your Priest.

Nothing is worth it if you evaluate it by what COULD go wrong. The institution of marriage itself means very little but sharing your life with a partner is something that is emotionally, spiritually, and physically good for everyone.

Marriage is absolutely worth it. When you find the right woman, it's unlike any experience on the planet. Someone to come home to, someone to hold, someone to hold you. She reassures you when you can't be the strong one anymore. She thinks your dreams are beautiful. She inspires. Her kisses pure electric, her touch arrests your soul. Your knees buckle, your toes curl, your breath shatters. The whole world stops and dances around you, and nothing else matters in that moment.

Marriage was the #1 best decision I've ever made, and 2nd place isn't even close.

Edit: ... of course, this is all contingent on finding "the one" for you. There're like 4,000,000,000 females out there; purely statistically speaking, one of them has got to be suitable.

Depends on where you live, the society, media, culture, what kind of girl you can find, whether you want kids or not, whether you are finanicially stable or not etc etc. Its not that simple, there may be your perfect one somewhere in this world but finding it may or may not be too difficult. I personally would never marry. That doesnt mean you have to do the same.

I don’t understand this mentality of wanting a wife but keeping distance. “I want to be married, but live like I’m divorced” doesn’t sound like an enticing proposal. Getting married was definitely the best decision I ever made, sixteen years and three kids later my life feels like it’s at a peak. I’m on my phone now because my 3 year old daughter came in to snuggle me and woke me up. It’s a Saturday morning ritual I’ll miss dearly when she grows out of it.

Do you have some condition like OCD that makes you want to stay alone, or is it fear of the grating on each that comes when any two sinners share a space?

I wish it would be worth it. In Germany for example it is so I am able to marry someone without many risks. I am not sure about America though. As far I heard if you are not undoubtedly certain about the stability of your relationship you will probably get divorced in 3 years and have your entire belongings belong to hear. If there are kids involved she will get them too. And even if you are 100% certain she is the right partner she could still be a gold digger. So as long as you don't live in the US you are good to go for marriage

Marriage is absolutely worth it. People saying no just couldn’t make it work and have sour grapes about the whole thing or are forever alone neck beards. I’ve heard atheist marriages are better though.
