They were never oppressed at all though. Women embraced and were honored to be the mothers the wife and to maintain the house. The same phony leaders and ivy league indoctrination camps that told blacl people they were oppressed and it was the white males fault are the same places that told women the same thing.

See this is just the other extreme from feminism that doesn't help our cause in the slightest because, its simply not true. Were they celebrated as "the font of life and source of children" sure, but in nearly any way that mattered they were decidedly second class citizens, with certain specific groups and societies as an exception. Please be honest this shit just makes us all look bad feminism was absolutely needed at the time and place it began. The problem is they never stopped and saw how far they cam and the victim mentality overwhelmed their legitimate problems and it became about about "punishing" men for the perceived slights and repression of ages past which has fuck all to do with equality you don't raise anyone up by taking others down. At this points all the feminists "boogeymen" are imaginary and what they want is all the freedom and choice with none of the fucking responsibility that comes along with those choices, but to say they were never oppressed is asinine and counter productive its easy to pick apart their reasoning without resorting to twisting and misinterpreting the past.

The reason you feel this way is this sub is an echo-chamber for conservatives and reactionnaries who don't understand feminist philosophies or policies and thus react in fear. A lot of people here assume some kind of gender war like conflict within society where feminists are behind everything bad that happens to men. This is of course nonsense, because a lot of the negative attitudes and discrimination against men comes from the same source as discrimination against women. People who are only feminists and not MRAs at the same time, and yes that combination exists, care about women's issues first and ignore, often from ignorance about the issues or the movemement itself which has a big image problem.

Anyway, I hope I don't get banned because of this, but, you know, this is Reddit.

Edit: To clarify, the feminist movement has its own issues, but I don't have the time to get into that.

Believe me, I know there are plenty of left-wing echo-chambers across the Internet and I never said otherwise. A couple reasons for this is that, in general, North America tends to lean more liberal, mostly on social issues (reminder not to confuse liberalism and socialism) and that people who use social media tend to be younger and young people tend to be more left-leaning.

But that's ridiculous to say that the rest of Reddit is a far left echo-chamber. There are a lot of right-wing echo-chambers on Reddit, r/conservative and r/The_Donald to name two.

I don't know why you think that about left-wingers supposedly being overwhelmingly sexist to men. It sounds more like reactionnary propaganda where the loudest and most ridiculous liberals and leftists are used as strawman for the entire left. If you really think that, go ask IN GOOD FAITH AND POLITELY (prefferably explaining how you identify politically and where you are coming from) about that on r/askaliberal .

What I was actually talking about is how reddit has a reputation for its administrators banning people from subs for little to no offense. I've experienced this from both sides. From r/conservative to r/communism .

"Castrate my son at birth" No I'll wait until he's 3 and use anasthesia!" Bruh, funnily enough, most of the feminist's problems would be solved with this simple gesture. Without testosterone, men and women would kinda become the same and there'll be no big differences between the genders. The stats would start to become 50/50 pretty much everywhere.

This was not even my point. My point with the 7 paragraphs you ignored was that: feminists want to achieve equality of outcome which is not possible while having equality of opportunities when men and women are different biologically.

Fair enough, i'll bite..

True, you can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't expect equality of opportunity and equality of outcome to apply across the board when there are so many variables.

However, as you suggested that i didn't address your other 7 paragraphs:

The problem is, the goal of feminism is unclear. They don't exactly know what they want, but it sure as hell has nothing to do with equality. Cutting off men's testicles would server absolutely no purpose in terms of gender equality/equality of outcome, etc.

men take more risks because of testosterone and that's why more men are CEOs (which feminists talk about all the time) but also why a lot more men are homeless (which feminists ignore).

These are not outcomes of hormone levels. These are outcomes due to societal biases and expectations. Sure, hormones do play a small part in being more open to taking risks, however it has little bearing on poverty or homelessness.

Society rewards calculated risk taking, not recklessness. Men have been more likely to take calculated risks due to societal structures softening the blow should things go awry. Homelessness has many factors which have nothing to do with hormones, such as lack of support structures for men facing homelessness/currently homeless.

If you cut off men's testicles, which is obviously very wrong, it would mean, men and women would take the same amount of risk (not exactly since men are exposed to testosterone in the womb still, but does that affect blood level of test, idk), which would give a more equal outcome for men and women statistically.

Not sure how you arrived at this illogical conclusion... Would the inverse also be true that if you pull out a woman's ovaries they would become more likely to take risks? The implication does not support the conclusion.

Feminists want equal outcome and not equal opportunity, they say the differences are all caused by the patriarchy, rape culture, gender norms, but women and men have some differences biologically like hormones which affect a little how we think and can give some differences when it comes to the extremes (like the top 1% richest, poorest, more aggressive people, least aggressive people...), but those extremes don't represent the disparity between genders in general, since men and women are more similar than different when it comes to the general population.

Feminists don't want equal outcome, they want a favoured outcome, ideally at the expense of men, citing their own theories of "historical male oppression" to justify it. It seems we agree that men and women differ biologically.

I am just saying that to solve the "equal outcome" goal of a lot of modern feminists (which I oppose with all my heart), the real solution would be to castrate all males, which shows how dumb that goal actually is. It's like saying black people get less sunburnt than white people, so it is an inequality, so to reach 50/50 equality, we should bleach all black people, or artificially add melanine to all white people. Some differences in the stats can't reach absolute equality without violating basic human rights.

The "equal outcome" is a motte and bailey, falls under my previous remark. Even castrating men does not lead into this outcome. The whole notion of "equality" is flawed and can never be reached until it is properly defined. Men and women are not equal, they are complementary. Each have their own strengths and weaknesses.

At the end of the day, we are all individuals and looking at statistics of extremes of different groups is kinda stupid and useless

and it's better to achieve equality of opportunity rather than achieving equality of outcome (which would probably erase equality of opportunity, like quotas, etc.).
