It is not a mans responsibility to maintain his ex-wifes lifestyle following a divorce. Whether that means buying expensive cars and houses or giving it to charity, it should no longer be his concern what she spends her money on so long as it is not his money he is spending. If she can't maintain her previous lifestyle alone then she shouldn't get it handed to her: she can economise or work like everybody else.
