Hey RPW ! :)

I've come to you for advice before, and you guys were great, so here's another question for you!

My SO and I have a very healthy, active sex life. I generally have a higher sex drive than he does, so I never turn down the opportunity to have sex, and because we're long distance, we typically have a lot of it when we're together. Having said that, there are times when I just .. don't want to.

For example, we took a trip together to visit family (total five days). There was one particular day when we just weren't communicating well, and I was frustrated and annoyed with him. While I don't take this out on him, but do communicate my feelings, later that day he initiated sex (and I knew we wouldn't have the opportunity again for at least a day or so), so even though I wasn't feeling up to it, I submitted anyways.

My struggle is that I don't believe in using sex as a weapon or a bribe, but by that same token I don't know how to tell him that I don't want to have sex because I'm feeling emotionally drained, or distant, or annoyed, or whatever else, without it seeming like I'm denying him as a power struggle.

What do you ladies suggest? :)

Edit: WOW such a response - thank you ladies! All of you seem to agree that one should go ahead and have sex anyways, which is what we ended up doing anyways. I agree that sex usually makes the feelings of distance, and annoyance, go away - I never really looked at it from that perspective before, believe it or not!

Thanks so much RPW ! :)
