The latest UK tax data are in. British women paid only 27% of all income tax. Compared to the "wage gap" of 23% that's a "tax gap" of 63%. xNOM July 22, 2020 216 upvotes /r/MensRights UK personal income statistics for tax year 2017-2018 have been released. Women paid 27.2% of all income tax collected. Men contributed 72.8%. The female contribution has actually gone DOWN since the last time I checked -- tax year 2010-11 when it was 28.8%. Calculated equivalently to the "wage gap" feminists never seem to shut up about (women earn 77 cents on the dollar compared to men), the "tax gap" is 1-(27.2/72.8) = 0.63. You have to dig down into the spreadsheet file. What is the actual, serious explanation for these numbers? I assume the UK doesn’t actually tax men and women at different rates for the same income, so what is the reason for this outcome?
