Men are shamed for not going to the doctor then shamed for seeking care with that "man flu" nonsense.

Basically the only correct thing a man can do is die since then he won't be around to be lectured on why he's toxic and wrong.

I feel like people paint this as a fear of doctors, but I always thought it's more of a fear of missing work, seeming unreliable, getting fired and losing our entire social worth as we become unable to support our families and not having free time on the days off due to household chores and social commitments.

Kind of borderline for me. The main reasons for the adult gender mortality gap are smoking and heart disease, which are both lifestyle diseases related to stress. Not sure what a doctor is supposed to do about that.

I'd also love to stop paying an extra 20% for healthcare that I don't use.

If you provide a service, in this case healthcare, and half the population is less willing to use it than the other half, is something wrong with half the population? Or is something wrong with the service?
