Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

"Someone over there disagrees with me, I feel unsafe!"

These people are ridiculous and should not be taken seriously. It is an embarrassment to civilisation that they are.

[–]Lethn 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm still trying to work out why Labour have as many votes as they do currently with all this shit going on.

[–]rollypolymasta 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think it's a mix of partisanship and shitty opposition. You have the Tories that have really fucked up the benefits system and saved no real money doing it, they also have a load of pro-censorship policies around the internet and pornography with makes them seem out of touch. You have the Lib-Dems which many voters of theirs feel stabbed them in the back over tuition fees, they also ostracized 52% of the voting population by taking an anti-brexit stance despite the outcome of the referendum. You also have two shitty leaders May and Farron (at the time of the election) who whilst imo aren't anywhere near as bad as Corbyn, are shit at creating a public persona and rallying voters.

That said I voted Tories in the last election, I perceived them to be the least worst of a bad bunch and I have a pretty good local Tory MP. There's absolutely no chance I'd vote Labour as it just seems an utter mess atm.

I realise your question was probably rhetorical, but I thought I'd throw my two cents in, I dont get much of a chance to talk UK politics and I stopped going to the sub when it started to turn into a cesspool.

[–]SoulofEquality 16 points17 points18 points 8 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Frickin TERFs. I have nothing to say to people like this, but find it hilarious that mainstream Feminists will refuse to acknowledge that these types of people are a part of their movement.

[–]Lethn 11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

It's like the whole "Those aren't real feminists", "I've never seen the types of feminists you talk about" lines that we see frequently used on this sub by feminists who come over here to pick a fight. As usual when you've got the evidence out in the open they are nowhere to be seen on threads like this.

I gathered she was a TERF but wasn't sure and of course, in keeping with the stereotypes we know about feminists, they seem to be a bunch of posh girls partying in South London. I know I shouldn't be bothered as much as I am by this but as I'm somebody from Yorkshire I'm innately ticked off about being told how to live by a bunch of rich southerners and I'm from a middle class family, can't imagine how the working class in the North must feel about these pussies trying to attack them constantly.

She has espoused anti-transgender views in the past, including posting a Facebook photo of a T-shirt with the slogan: 'Trans rights erase women's rights'

Scanning the article, yeah, she's a TERF lol.

[–]SoulofEquality 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, you gotta love the No True Scottsman fallacy, lol.

[–]Lethn 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

It's not even that, I get the feeling they're just deliberately avoiding any contact with the idea that feminists might be horrible people.

[–]SoulofEquality 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Well, of course. It's the unfortunate reality of identity politics.

[–]Lethn 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It just amazes me how somebody can be so stubborn and fanatical on the same sub where there are posts completely contradicting their beliefs. Most fanatics I argue with at least have the decency to completely lose their shit and stay out of the sub entirely if they have their beliefs completely proven wrong. Feminists and SJWs though are something else, I've actually been impressed numerous times by how delusional they are.

[–]SoulofEquality 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It can be both annoying and disturbing when Feminists do it, but hardly limited to them. For example, I'm in my 30s and very deliberately childfree but I've met complete strangers who get angry...like red-faced, teeth baringly upset... when I tell them I don't think offspring are a requirement for a fulfilling life, woman or not. Same with the Christians in my family who take it as a personal affront that I'm an atheist, or TERFs who think I'm a misogynist and traitor just because I identify with a masculine gender. Hell, I've been on dates where the dude told me I was "a bleeding heart, ultra liberal moron" for being a vegetarian and refusing to try some of the steak he ordered.

People will always find something about you that hurts their worldview, and they will do whatever it takes to deny everything you tell them while simultaneously declaring you intellectually inept or downright disingenuous. These kind of folks are incapable of seeing that the world is not black and white, but rather shades of grey where we all have different experiences. It's just really unfortunate that gynocentrism is the policy of the century...but that's why it's so important that we keep raising our voices. Even if they say we're liars, others will listen and see that maybe we're on to something.

[–]Lethn 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh absolutely, perhaps it's just that feminism and social justice is the new 'thing', I'm sure in the 90's and perhaps a bit earlier the right wing SJWs who would be all social conservatives and evangelical Christians were just as annoying. I've only experienced mostly the left wing version of SJWs, but I do remember the huge furore that was made over games by the evangelical right especially trying to claim it made people violent.

[–]SoulofEquality 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. The pendulum swings from one side to the other, and then those particular extremists get to rear their ugly heads and be much louder than normal. Why? Because now the moderates have made their views "acceptable".

[–]dijkstraschicken 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

can't imagine how the working class in the North must feel about these pussies trying to attack them constantly.

Err, what? I am working class and from/in the North, are you saying feminists are attacking me?

[–]Lethn 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Who do you think they're frequently accusing of being racists and misogynists the most?

[–]dijkstraschicken 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Fuck knows mate, maybe actual racists and misogynists? There are a lot up here, have a venture round where I live and tell me otherwise. The working class are constantly used as a political tool by both the left and right. Everyone who isn't working class knows best about the working class.

[–]Lethn 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

lol really? You think there are actually that many? No, afraid not, meaning they're just going to end up throwing accusations at you. I'm not even working class but I've had the MRA rape aplogist card thrown at me just for being a 'white male' and I've been called and Islamaphobe etc.

[–]dijkstraschicken 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I agree with your last sentence, these terms are thrown about too easily, and the 'white male' rhetoric is canny sickening. I just don't agree that the working class get the brunt of this. Also 'TERF's' don't deny that Islam is fucking shit. Just to disclose though, I'm a woman and would probably be called a 'TERF' by the same people who call you a rape apologist and Islamophobe.

[–]Lethn 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I dunno, I come from the gamer side of things you see, wanted to be a games developer since I'm young and now I'm seeing a literal conspiracy not only against the games industry but the people who play games as a whole.

These are primarily the working and middle classes, they attack these people and their hobbies frequently and it's made me realise that they're trying to drive away my primary customer base through any means. Dunno, guess maybe I'm thinking a bit too specifically myself, but it's pretty hard to ignore in America especially the way the media went after Trump supporters who were primarily working class white men.

[–]SuperLotus97 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's like the whole "Those aren't real feminists", "I've never seen the types of feminists you talk about" lines that we see frequently used on this sub by feminists who come over here to pick a fight. As usual when you've got the evidence out in the open they are nowhere to be seen on threads like this.

But try telling feminists most guys aren't rapists and they respond with "but rape culture..."

[–]jeff_the_nurse 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So, about MRAs only being for straight men...

[–]Chel_of_the_sea 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (26 children) | Copy Link

If you're posting this out of a belief that it is somehow hypocritical, it's really not. She'd have been booted for racism or homophobia too - that sort of thing is generally not seen as okay in left-wing spaces. Feminism is important, but it isn't the only cause that is, and she'd been quite aggressive in attacking those other causes in the past.

[–]ee4m -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (25 children) | Copy Link

The whole gender politics end of labour is the right wing side of it. Neoliberalism.

[–]Chel_of_the_sea 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Neoliberalism is an economic doctrine, not a social one. FWIW, I'm pretty concerned with social issues and am more or less on the progressive wing.

[–]EricAllonde 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

That's just our resident commie apologist. He always shows up to discussions of Left wing people (like feminists and SJWs) being awful, just to insist that Left wingers are really Right wingers, because reasons.

[–]ee4m -2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Left wingers are really Right wingers,

Left wing people aren't right wing people.

Mainstream left and right is a sham, both are right wing economically.

[–]ee4m -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You are the clown that posts neo nazi propaganda, thats linked to a mass murderer here. You support tax bills that screw the average guy and give billions away to billionaires.

Most of us don't want your nonsense here.

[–]EricAllonde 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You're the loon who thinks anyone who supports free speech is a nazi, and who hallucinates comments about a tax bill in another country that I've never made.

LOL, go on: entertain us some more.

[–]ee4m -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So by the same logic you support the right of islamist jihadists to organize in Australia and view australians protesting it as infringing on their free speech.

You support nazis you liar, nobody buys your bullshit here.

[–]EricAllonde 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's kinda wacky. Definitely irrational, there is certainly no logic involved. But I think you can do better.

5/10.

[–]ee4m -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Its exactly what you are selling.

[–]ee4m 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

The powers that be used postmodernism to push neoliberalism and labour and social democrats hide their right wing economics behind feminism.

If you look at labour women or any feminist org. An old girls network, privilaged white women with the odd tolken pushing for elite jobs for elite people, mean while they support neoliberal economics.

[–]Chel_of_the_sea 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That is sometimes true, yes. I can still support one ideology without supporting the other, even if others combine the two.

[–]ee4m 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you support either you are part of the problem and are being manipulated.

[–]ee4m 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Which ever one you support, or combination of the two - you are still attacking the working and middle class man.

Socially, legally or economically.

[–]ee4m -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Here is the declassified cia document on how the right funded and promoted the postmodernist left in order to conserve right wing economics while splitting the left and shifting it to the right.

https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP86S00588R000300380001-5.PDF

[–]Chel_of_the_sea 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I skimmed it, and it doesn't seem to say anything of the kind. At best it says that the demise of pro-Soviet sentiment among intellectuals benefited U.S. interests, which...duh?

[–]ee4m 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So you didnt read it closely and saw no reference to funding and promoting post modernism. You can also look at the Ford foundation, a cia front credited with creating gender studies and helping kick off the free market dictatorships in latin america.

[–]KDulius 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

So is Comrade Corbyn the right wing end of labour as he's willing to engage in IDpol

[–]ee4m -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Corbyn is to the left, he is in the center so is far to the left of the rest of them - he rejects idpol and advocates for average people.

[–]KDulius 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Corbyn doesn't reject idpol or labour would have scrapped it's sexist and racist shortlisting policies

[–]ee4m 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

He can't do that because most of his party are neoliberal feminists, Corbyn is the sort of politican we need to support.

The secret to Corbyn's success was rejecting PC culture as much as he rejected rabble-rousing populism The fact that such an approach amounts to no less than a major shift in our political space is a sad sign of the times we live in. But it shows where we can go from here

"Corbyn is the kind of politician we need to support"

Yeah, no.

He praised Chavez and Castro. He's called the IRA, Hamas and Hezzoblah his friends and he wants to give Argentina back the Falklands against the expressed wishes of the people who LIVE on the Falklands

[–]ee4m 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So he supports people in other countries that are being oppressed by other countries. Better than a war monger policy that wastes billions on military and brings counter attacks on ordinary Britons.

[–]KDulius 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Praising Castro is the exact opposite of standing up for the little guy.

And fyi, if you bothered to read Islamic propaganda, the fact the UK is at war with ISIS is not actually all that relevent. Time after time after time these terrorists explicitly say that they are waging war on the west because we are not an islamic theocracy.

[–]ee4m 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

What do you know about castro?

That western capitalists used economic and clandestine warfare to disrupt the economy and food supplies, like every other socialist country? Probably not because you take propaganda at face value.

Crimes of the british system are far beyond castro.

if you bothered to read Islamic propaganda,Time after time after time these terrorists explicitly say that they are waging war on the west because we are not an islamic theocracy.

Islamic propaganda.

Thats what the leaders tell the followers they are manipulating.

And the US and UK tell their populations some bullshit too, they don't tell you they keep africa and the middle east in chaos to support UK and american capitalism and the biggest dole bludgers off all, royalty.

The US and Uk have been involved with supporting groups like that and putting extremist regimes in power for years.

[–]Late_For_Username -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

he wants to give Argentina back the Falklands against the expressed wishes of the people who LIVE on the Falklands

What? All 20 of them?

[–]KDulius 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Does it matter how many live there if they've democratically elected to stay as a protectorate of the UK?

[–]NScorpion 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I implied that some people might be actual racists on /r/uncensorednews instead of people who just disagree with neo-liberal ideas and got banned, so I might actually know how she feels.

The final stage of revolution is auto-cannibalism.

[–]HotDealsInTexas 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She has espoused anti-transgender views in the past, including posting a Facebook photo of a T-shirt with the slogan: 'Trans rights erase women's rights.'

Hmm... so, she didn't just advocate for a specific policy that would be harmful to trans people, she publicly endorsed the idea that trans people should not have rights.

Yeah, screw that. It's not at the level of inciting violence (which would be legally actionable), but it's comparable to, say, wearing a "Black Lives don't Matter" shirt and then playing the victim when black people are uncomfortable having your racist ass at a Christmas party. The event's organizers are well within their rights to boot her out for being a massive asshole.

She later wrote on Twitter: 'I wasn't disruptive or rude as many witnesses can confirm. I am waiting for an explanation and apology from Labour Women's Network.'

Okay, there's a possibility that she wasn't rude or disruptive, but quite frankly she has no credibility whatsoever.

Aside from that, the hypocrisy of a TERF of all people complaining about "identity politics" is hilarious. If she had her way, Lily Madigan would probably be banned from that same party for the crime of being born with a male body.

[–]splodgenessabounds 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Story outline:

Barrow-pushing TERF attends Crimble Party for Women; annoys people; gets shown the door.

Whinges on tw@tter under hashtag 'IdentityPolitics'.

Irony lies in the gutter, bleeding profusely.
