I work as a nurse and asked a female nurse to perform an ekg on my 18 year old patient.

She gave me an attitude and asked why. After all, she doesn't need a man to do an ekg on her male patients. After I knocked down her argument that an ekg does not touch any sexual areas on a man like it does with women's breasts, I then said I would do it if she would chaperone me. She said I didn't need a chaperone unless the patient requested one. I had to explain to her and two other women in the area that the chaperones are not for the benefit of the patient but for the safety of the male staff performing various exams. They acted like they didn't know why I was talking to until I asked a male doctor and he instantly agreed.
