there was no record of anyone actually complaining about the syllabus. The university had apparently launched this investigation on its own.

The professor refused to meet with the Director of Diversity Investigations, preferring to talk via email so that the conversation could be documented. This eventually caused the director to abandon the investigation: the matter is now officially closed, according to Seidemann.

Smart move.

Good man. Guys this is how you do things. He was wise to correspond by email only to have everything documented. Emails don't lie.

Man, my first thought on the "effort" grade was that it's almost totally subjective, and therefore a perfect way for a professor to knock a full letter grade off a student for, say, expressing unpopular opinions in in-class discussion.

But sexual favors? What?

I am so glad I'm done with college. I graduated at the perfect time, right on the cusp of when all this shit became so wide-spread.

I know the article was missing information because the uni wasn't forthcoming with information during the ~~witch hunt~~ investigation, so if there's anyone here who can explain the triangles, I'd appreciate it.

I'm not so sure about this one. Does anyone else think it is strange that a geology professor is putting in his syllabus things about "PC culture" and "safe spaces?" I would expect this in the humanities, but not in geology class.
