Point 1. She got a job.

There's your first step to realising feminism is the biggest load of crypto-Marxist nonsense.

Point 2. "Just a bunch of suburban girls who grew up with a lot of privilege who think they know everything there is to know about how to respect another human being while doing nothing but disrespecting them."

The striking thing is, she appears to have only just arrived at this realisation.

Point 3. "I'm over being told that I'm expected to behave a certain way."

The striking part about this is she only realised the consequences of this mentality AFTER it impacted upon her own life, not those of the people who are on the receiving end of feminist abuse on an incessant second-by-second basis.

Point 4. "I grew up really poor."

The virtue signalling mentality is clearly still ingrained in her head. "I'm poor, therefore I'm distinctive and special." Like all feminists, she still deems oppression is a badge of honour which affords her a specific set of privileges, or a token to be exchanged for political capital.

Point 5. "Don't blame others for how terrible everything is, because that's what feminism tells you to do."

She's getting there...

This woman has clearly evolved and grown-up some, and it's interesting to observe her transition - in my experience, it usually starts to kick in the moment they leave the echo chamber and are compelled to take some real responsibility for their own existence.

Suddenly, it doesn't all seem so theoretical; suddenly, the whole world can't be neatly summarised into two opposing groups; suddenly there are far more important things to worry about than your own deep-seated insecurities or narcissistic tendencies.

I think this girl should be applauded for breaking free of the sick cult of feminism, not criticised as some of you are doing. My view is that any time someone breaks free of feminisms victim mentality and starts thinking for themselves, that's a good thing and we should be supportive.

On a purely practical level: ex members of cults are one of the best weapons against them. An ex member can speak with authority about the brainwashing & groupthink in the cult, the facts that cult leaders deny in order to keep their members under control, the harm that being in the cult did to them and the obvious-to-everyone-else things that they now see but didn't know while they were in the cult.

All of that is great info for understanding a cult's weaknesses and figuring out how to take it down. She touches on all those elements in this, her very first video as an ex feminist. I'd like to see her keep going and make more videos, I have high hopes for what she'll say in the future.

She also mentions something that I've long wondered about when she says that feminism made her feel miserable, even "depressed". I often thought that feminist beliefs must be harmful to a womens mental health.

Continually being told that you're a victim, you're being oppressed, you'll never achieve your career or earning potential because "the patriarchy" is holding you back, you have to be afraid because you're surrounded by (wildly exaggerated numbers of) rapists who will inevitably (1 in 4, 1 in 3, etc) rape you sooner or later, that you have to be passive and not take even basic precautions to protect yourself, etc etc...well, over time that sort of message surely has to take a toll on the mental health of women who listen to it.

I've noticed that prominent feminists, on YouTube and elsewhere, seem to quite frequently report that they have mental health issues, including depression. I wonder if there's a link between feminism and mental health issues? Does anyone know of any research in this area?
