My university student group is trying to ruin the reputation of a group of boys who were out in the city and singing a song. This is not rape, and shouldn't be treated as such.

I refuse to take this complaint seriously without mention of what was said. Without that they sre expecting the general public to agree with their assessment of what constitutes degradation towarda women.

Im not saying it wasnt degrading. Im asking how can we agree with them without knowing what was said.

I really would like to know what song they are singing. I mean I can see there anger, but I can't agree unless I know what the song is. Is it just a rap song were you hear bitches and hoes regularly or a song that explicitly talks about raping a woman?

Firstly, this is word of mouth and there seems to be no recorded evidence. Secondly, what song/lyrics? In either case, it doesn't matter, and there are plenty of songs about women degrading themself, men degrading themself, or women degrading men. Thirdly, the fact that it happened on a bus implies that it was off-campus, therefore it has nothing to do with campus safety.
