Yeah, I've seen this one before.

He has basically admitted that he doesn't believe boys can be victims of sex crimes like this. What's more, he's using his own personal opinion of how he, as an adult, would have interpreted the situation to make an absolute decision about how he feels the boy must have. And, to top it all off, I don't see how you could do a better job of objectifying woman than by calling a defendant "candy" if you tried.

He is clearly not fit to be a judge and the fact that he is allowed to make these comments as part of an official trial is frankly disgusting.

Its funny how the most gender-biased and "patriarchal" people in the world seem to be Judges. Both in Family/Civil Court, as well as Criminal.

The judge is right, with the exception that a gay young man would have no interest in jumping on that candy.

This student was 17, and certainly capable of making a decision like this.

My problem isn't that she got an /r/pussypass or that she got a relatively light sentence because honestly the only people pissed off about the young adult pounding with this woman to orgasm is his parents and the community.

My problem is that if it were a male teacher and a female student there would be the opposite of a pussy-pass, the judge would have thrown the book at him.
