I think it's fairly clear you've come in here with a chip on your shoulder and a heavy bias in your brain against the very topic you're asking about, but you did make the effort to actually come and ask for information, so that's what I'll give you.

Honestly, this one just takes the whole cake. No issue feminists are pushing right now even holds a candle to this as an issue of systemic discrimination and prejudice. This ought to be one of, if not THE top issue of prejudice being discussed, but it's being ignored.

Men are still registered with the Selective Service, meaning that, if a draft is ever done again, it will only be men who are drafted.
Men are given custody of their children at much lower rates than women.

Many boys have their genitals mutilated (circumcision) shortly after birth, and this is entirely sanctioned in society.

On the topic of rape:

University campuses, at the behest of the government, are now setting up regulations in Title IX rape allegation investigations that make it impossible for an accused rapist to defend himself in said proceedings. Federal law still defines rape as "penetration without consent," and leaves "forced to penetrate" as mere sexual assault.
Expansions to the rape criteria have deemed that people cannot consent to sex while intoxicated, but the level of intoxication required is left intentionally vague. This creates a huge loophole wherein women can decide later that they were raped. Men cannot do this unless said sex involved them being penetrated by her.

All together, these laws/regulations create a system wherein:

Male college students cannot defend themselves against allegations of rape in Title IX proceedings, which can permanently affect their academic careers and thus financial futures.
If a man and a woman each get drunk and have sex, the woman was raped (couldn't consent due to alcohol), but the man was only sexually assaulted (wasn't penetrated, not rape).
Men who were molested, but not actually sodomized by women are not considered rape victims, and are thus unable to get justice for the crime done to them.

None of this, of course, is specifically due to women gaining power, and it's a myth propagated by feminists that MRAs are against women, women's rights, or women in power. MRAs aren't angry that women have won their rights, and we don't deny that they are still denied some rights they deserve, and are discriminated in society in various other ways. We are simply angry that the ways in which men are victimized and discriminated against are routinely ignored by society, and specifically at feminist organizations for slandering anyone (even other feminists) for speaking up about these issues.

I don't have the time to give you a list, but if you bother to check, there are plenty of examples of prominent feminists saying some blatantly misandrist things. Plenty of MRAs say misogynistic things too, but they're mostly just angry citizens on YouTube and Reddit—not prominent journalists and people with ties to major organizations with political pull.

In my experience, feminists have a hard time seeing this. They have an almost entirely positive view of Feminism and are not just completely ignorant of its misdeeds and oversteps, but resistant to acknowledging them too. I would bet that your views remain unchanged after this thread is exhausted, despite the wealth of information you've been provided. I would also bet that you have never really considered what it's like to be a man in our society, and that you buy into the modern view that women are oppressed and men are the oppressors in virtually all cases. Basically, based on the dismissive tone you employed in your OP, I'm betting you're prejudiced against men—which makes you a perfect example of what I'm talking about.

I've been involved with feminist groups in one way or another since 1975. I've never seen one that was in any way interested in any form of equality. They said that they were but this was their error in logic: they started from the position that women were oppressed in every way and had been for all time therefore women's lot needed to be improved in every area and any difference between men and women was oppression against women. Even when women were clearly advantaged they still saw it as oppression. ie. young men were dragged from their homes, beaten until they were borderline psychotic and sent off to a foreign country and left to die screaming and wounded in a lonely ditch. The feminists saw the 99.2% of male war deaths as "women weren't allowed to advance in the military".

I'll give you a real life story of how the general population is discriminated against in life destroying ways.

John and Jane are born into a first world middle class family. Within his first month of life Johns penis is mutilated, removing 40% of the nerve endings. He new has a 400% greater chance of erectile function disorder and will enjoy sex and masturbation far less than he would have. Jane was protected by the power of the state from this atrocity.

They watch the morning tv shows where John sees daily examples of girls beating up boys with laugh tracks. Every commercial he watches shows incompetent men and wise women (often hitting them). Jane gets nothing but positive and strong female role models.

They head off to primary school - only female teachers. They perform the same tests and write the same answers - he gets lower grades. (recent studies show that boys score equal or higher grades to girls when a computer grades the tests than when a female teachers does) One day John is punched by an older girl and Jane is hit by an older boy. Jane's attacker is suspended and the school has an assembly about violence against women. John's attacker is praised by all her friends and the teacher laughs at John when he reports it.

They head off to high school. John and Jane get lovers who send them nudies. John is expelled and gets a permanent criminal record as a child sex offender for being in possession of child pornography. Jane gets counseling for the harassment she received after seeing a dick pick.

John and Jane get depressed and think of suicide. The school councilor misses the symptoms in John because, even though it's well known that young males are up to 8 times more likely to kill themselves than girls, government counselors are only trained to look for symptoms in girls.

Things tern bad at home. There's violence in the family. Mother's drinking again and she hits. Father has nowhere to go - there's no help for male victims of domestic violence even though 55% of the adult victims are male. He can't even call the police, with predominant aggressor policies, the larger member of couple is the one to be arrested. He also can't leave her, 92% of custody battles go to the mother and that would leave the children unprotected with a violent drunk.

They want a higher education. Fortunately Jane gets a scholarship - (At my Uni there were 12 PhD scholarships in my field - all for women only), they both get hospitably jobs for extra money though.

They are both equally skilled servers, but Jane gets lots of tips from men and women and John gets next to nothing. He's also required to do a lot more difficult and dangerous work than Jane does for exactly the same pay.

One night at a party John and Jane both get very drunk and have unprotected sex. They don't remember much but they know it resulted in pregnancy. Jane doesn't want a child so she has an abortion, or takes a pill. John doesn't want a child. Tough. The girl decides she want to keep it. When the child is two months old he gets a letter from the courts saying he owes her $4000 dollars a month in maintenance. He only make $3500, but the court deems that as he has an accounting degree he is capable of earning more than that and so he owes it. John hears through the grape vine that he's not even the Father. He takes this to the courts but is told that doesn't matter - he should have objected within the first 30 days of life, he is deemed to be the father by the court.

He tries to leave school and get a job, but because there are far fewer female accountants than men, the government has mandated that if a women applies the job must go to her - you know, equal opportunities.

Meanwhile with Jane, her feminist friends at Uni tell her that she was raped at the party. That even though both she and her lover were both drunk, the fact that she was drunk means it was rape. They tell a local newspaper and her struggle makes all the newspapers. There's an enormous outpouring of compassion and even the first lady tweets in support of her, She's now too embarrassed to say anything and just wants it all to go away. The boy is expelled and his life is ruined.

John could not have been raped because the feminists in charge of legal policy have retitled the rape of a male by a female as "made to penetrate". But it's not rape. He can be drugged, bound and ridden against his will for days and it's not rape if a woman does it.

I could go on for ages but this is already a wall of text.

Genital mutilation, marriage, family violence, the media, education, work and discrimination, pregnancy, the law, public sympathies - these things all affect the majority of men, not a few isolated examples. And they are written into government policy and were lobbied for by feminist groups.

You might want to check your assumptions that feminists are against oppression. From even the slightest research you'll see that they're behind most of it.

Some examples:

The "life gap" or "existence gap" : for instance, there are 15% less African American men than women, because they are either dead or jailed for life. The "life gap" exists in all ethnic groups.
The "education gap" : radical feminist policies in universities and the education system have led to males under-performing in every single academic area and to women constituting 65% of university graduates.
The "parent gap" : women overwhelmingly have the privilege of living with and raising their children over men, thanks to radical feminist policies and law-making, which damage men (who commit suicide in large numbers in the relevant age groups) and children (who research shows are damaged by not spending time with their fathers).

Here are three ways in which men are oppressed in the US.

Genital mutilation is routinely performed on boys.
Government retains the right to send unwilling men (but not women) to die for their country.
While women have several ways to avoid becoming a parent after an unwanted pregnancy happens, men have no such means and may be required to pay child support simply because the mother decides on her own to keep the baby and feels like she needs monetary support.

It's not women gaining power that is the issue, it's many of the unfair practices and programs being put in place that favour women, and disadvantage men. (Quotas, affirmative action, Duluth model DV policies, family courts, etc.)

I have no issue with a woman having power, hell, my business mentors are WOMEN. Women who earned their positions through hard work and smart investing. Not through handouts and quotas. I believe women to be as capable of achieving and competing in society.

Also, the assumption that all men have power since many of the powerful have been male, is seriously flawed. I would recommend reading "The Myth of Male Power" for more insight into this.

Women have an inherent in-group bias whereas men have an inherent out-group bias towards women. Women think that because men are in positions of power that they exercise that power for the benefit of men rather than women because if they had that power they would exercise it to benefit women and not men. The reality is that men exercise their power for the benefit of women.

That being said, I'm not sure if I understand your question. If I understand your post correctly, you have already been shown examples of the numerous ways males are disadvantaged in society, but you don't consider it oppression or the result of oppression. In that case, could you please provide a definition of the word "oppression" as you are using it?

Take conscription. Even when women take power, they still force only young men to fight and die protecting them (see Lithuania where a female president and other politician lead the move to reintroduce conscription and then scoffed at the idea of conscripting women too).

Conscription is the equivalent of raising young boys for the slaughter as a sacrifice to keep women safe. Everywhere that's voted on it, women are much more likely to support it than men, likely because they don't have to experience it themselves. I'd call this a form of oppression.

equality under the law has long been reached except for regressive policies that are being pushed for and supported by Feminists (e.g Duluth Model). These regressive policies are harmful to men and MR is about bringing awareness to that.

My two biggest issues with MRA's: MRA's seem to be concerned with only men's rights issues (not human rights). It seems to me that they want to keep women from gaining more power in order to keep theirs.

A man who wants equality for all people (regardless of gender, race, religion, etc.) would be a human rights activist (or feminist).

I am also concerned with the lack of discussion that I see around black males. I would argue that the inequality in male conviction rates has more to do with race than gender. I would also argue that many of the court rulings in favor of women have to do with systematic patriarchal ideals that suggest that women are weak, feeble, meek, indecisive, fickle, helpless, and more motherly. As a feminist, I don't want to be seen this way, and I am sorry that the patriarchy is coming back to bite men in the ass.

Another issue that I have seen with this sub's posts are the denial that we are still in a patriarchal society. The white dominated patriarchy is hurting everyone. MRA's should be concerned about this if they are truly about equality.
