We can't really expect teenage girls or boys to behave with a great deal of rational thought. It is the responsibility of educators to teach young people to behave ethically and to consider all points of view. The failure of academia to criticize and rebut feminist doctrine, and the willingness of the elite class to promote feminism and all its attendant horrors, has created a frankenstein monster. Entitled young girls are encouraged to embrace victimhood and demonize the male sex. It's only going to get worse.

Facile statements from a person with a very touch-and-go relationship with grammar and basic philosophy - especially as pertains to the meaning of the word 'cause'.

Alcohol is a facilitator of rape (as well as drunken sex) as surely as any other "date rape drug" and anyone who wants to perform an action that reduces their risk of being raped would be well-advised to drink in moderation or not at all, or to do so in a private place and surrounded by people looking out for them.
Judging by the desire for infantilizing, sexist affirmative consent legislation, young women could indeed benefit from a lesson on providing clear - rather than mixed or non-existent - signals to avoid a situation in which they feel violated or raped while their partner senses nothing out of the ordinary.
A date during which you were raped would be a date gone very sour indeed. By definition, I think.
I'm not going to pretend to know whether or not attire factors into a rapist's choice of target and I'm sure as hell that the person who made this poster doesn't know. But if I did know that, say, people wearing clown shoes were statistically more likely to be mugged than people not wearing clown shoes I would wear my least humorous footwear on payday. And since I don't know whether or not that is true I'm not going to make an ideologically-charged statement on its veracity as that would be morally and intellectually irresponsible.

And I know this: given two otherwise equal (for the sake of argument) strictures to prevent rape - one, the morally repugnant "don't get raped" and two, "don't rape" - I will always go with the one that doesn't involve me trying to convince sociopaths of the error of their ways. Luckily I understand that the choice is not binary, unlike our "you're with me or you're with the rapists" friends.

This poster has inspired me to come up with a quasi-analogous statement to the well-known anti-victim blaming mantra for those who are stupid through no particular fault of their own:

Don't teach me not to be stupid, teach smart people to ignore the things I say.

Put a piece of tape over the last sentence and write in Sharpie (I know you've got one, you delinquent) "DON'T BE CAREFUL" or something.

Can you imagine being naive enough to think that a poster will actually convince a potential rapist to restrain themselves? It's the safety of these people I worry about, if they found themselves in rough company they would be 'like lambs to the slaughter'.

so other than the implied that it is only on boys restrooms, it doesn't say only men can stop rape. I find the message to be fairly timid and correct.

The only complaint is placement.

IMHO, the best one for a restroom would be "Just Because It's Your Baby Doesn't Mean It's Your Trash." I've seen photos of that one, but haven't found a full sized image for printing.
