I don't know how much of an impact AI girlfriends will have on real world relationships, although it could cut into the camgirl fanbase, instagram, onlyfans, etc. They'll probably see some of their revenue streams dry up as AI can replace them.

I’m personally not mad but I do see that it will now be even more difficult to tell if a man is normal than it’s ever been or if he is creating a narrative of how he dinks our relationship will go. Any man who uses these things has probably already been filtered out of my dating pool so I don’t think it’ll be an issue for my dating experience.

The issue with AI GFs is much the same as with escorts who provide the “girlfriend experience”. Lots of guys who go for the GFE fall in love with her cuz it’s the perfect relationship. It’s the perfect relationship because she’s catering completely to what the guy wants, as he’s the customer. GFEs aren’t full women with their own wants and needs, because they’re doing a job that puts their clients wants and needs ahead of their own.

So if you want an AIGF have all the fun you can have with a computer. But much like how photoshop gives people an unrealistic expectation for what beauty is, or porn gives an unrealistic expectation for what sex is, AIGFs will give an unrealistic expectation for what a relationship is. Your AIGF is never going to be mad at you, or disappointed in you, or be having a bad day, or not in the mood. She’s never gonna ask more of you than your willing or able to give in that moment. She’s never going to help you learn how to navigate interpersonal relationships because she’s not a person. If you want her around she’ll be around, and when you want her gone you can just log off. that might sound perfect, and it may be… until you get into a relationship with a real person who has real feelings that you can’t treat as a disposable video game
