So my ex made a big stink about investments in equities made in 2021, the market tanked in 2022 and we lost 43% as of January 2023.

She tried to highlight this during our divorce settlement claiming I was “reckless” with our money and the unrealized losses should be factored in and taken out of my “half”. She failed.

We agreed to January 1st as the separation date and she agreed in October that all assets in that brokerage account were mine, probably assuming the assets I bought would continue to decline.

Well gentlemen that account not only broke even but is now up 22% total, she lost out big time and can suck it.

Time is amazing.
