I am trying to figure out how to describe what I am feeling. And then figure out what to do about it because its not a great feeling. I am not depressed per se but I would not call it a happy time. If you have been through what I am going through, please feel free provide insight and guidance.

I've been separated since April. My kids are in college. I work from home and live with my two dogs in a residential neighborhood. And my friends are a couple of hours away.

This obviously would lead one to think that I am lonely. I used to think that I am an extravert. But the thought of sharing space with another person gives me anxiety. I do visit my friends from time to time but I never want to stay longer than a few hours. I dont want to start dating. And I dont particularly want to put in the effort to make new friends.

I also seem to lack enjoyment in my life. The past few things that I enjoyed recently:

  1. My first BK Whopper in 15 years. (Surprisingly better than I remembered!)

  2. My dog pooped less than 20 mins into the walk. (He normally needs 30 mins which drives me batty.)

  3. I won last week in fantasy football to place in #2 place and locked me into the playoffs.

Whats wrong with me? Is this what loneliness feels like?
