Going through my divorce has me thinking if a prenuptial agreement would have worked in my situation.

Short term marriage in Connecticut (married just under 5 years). No kids. House is a pre-marital asset in my name solely. I have paid every mortgage payment solely.

She of course wants the maximum amount of equity out of my home after she cheated on me and filed.

For those who have experience with pre-nups would it have benefited me? From what I gather they work well if the marriage ends short term.

It probably would have been a great thing since I guarantee she would not have agreed to signing it and I would have then never married her.

How naive I was
