So yesterday I went on a date for the first time in 15 years. And it was terrifying lol but also good. However it was very different from how I remember.

I remember dating in my early 20s, horny as hell, the thrill of the chase - it was exhilarating. Now as I near 40, I found dating feels completely different. I had a really good chat with a very attractive women, lots of laughing and vibed well. I genuinely enjoyed our 2 hour coffee date together and hope to see her again. But there wasn't this drive to "win" or rush things. I guess I'm just saying back in the day I felt so much pressure to escalate things, to move fast, to get that first kiss (or a bit more).

Is this normal? Is that how dating is supposed to feel at this age? Or is this a sign that maybe I'm not ready? I don't wanna read into it too much but curious what other guys have experienced when entering the dating world again.
