It's kinda crazy to me that she would leave, but it's been a hard year for her and she is not making good decisions. It is what it is. The fact is she is very mentally ill and I'm tired of dealing with it. I would have never left, I think divorce is wrong and we have a kid. But at the same time she has called the police on me like 6 times this year, all for ridiculous reasons, every time the officers tell her that, one time they took her to the hospital for an evaluation. I'm just tired. We are being amicable which is great. I'm not so worried about dating or any of that, just focusing on my daughter. I thought it would hurt more. When i think about it I was thinking "well i guess it will hurt when she starts dating," but the reality is I don't care. I hope she marries some rich idiot with connections to great schools for my kid. I'm the only one who works. I take care of the kid more, I do more dishes, I do more laundry, it was never enough. nothing I did was ever enough, and by the time she decided to leave I was more relieved than anything. Now I get super quality time with my kid, and the other half of the time I get to focus on myself. financially she will probably end up better off, but when we finally separate I will not have my house, but i'll be debt free and I'll have my 6 figure income, plus I won't have to pay her any type of support. I'm a simple guy, it would have taken very little for her to make me happy, but if she doesn't want to that's cool. I'm sure there's some girl out there who will want to.
