Talk to a lawyer, immediately, and develop a strategy.
Make sure she cannot argue that you are an unequal/unfit parent. Log your time with the kid, and hers. You need to be sure you are seen by the court as a good contributing parent. (even better if you can prove she isn't!) Document her alcohol/drug use best you can with whatever proof you can.
Install cameras, with audio, everywhere you can get away with. Protect yourself against bogus DV claims.
Do not move out or let her take the kid away. You are just as much a parent as her.
Make sure she is working and making solid money. And don't take the big advancement - yet! (talk to lawyer about this!)
Get therapy, and get to the gym. Now. Your soul needs it as much as your body.
Listen to your lawyer.
Don't look back, and don't hook up with another too soon.
Consider the snip to guard against future pregnancies (assuming you don't want more kids) and baby-trappers.
Buckle up! But know that good things are ahead for you. Claim your own happiness! There are lots of great ladies out there for you.

Okay, here's the deal: Are you getting a divorce? Yes or no. If it's yes, you're not the first and certainly not the last. You should have done some digging if you suspected her of cheating, but that was in the past. Get yourself a lawyer, as she most likely will and find out what you're up against. If you get this part wrong, you could lose big time - retirement, wages, and access to your kids. Then go read "Leave a Cheater, Gain a Life." I am doing the 180. Grey Rocking. You can find all of those on the web. They will give you insight into dealing with and understanding your new life. Then tell your family and friends the truth, as she will tell her version, and you don't want that. Start exercising to get yourself into the best shape possible for your kids and yourself. DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL. That's self-explanatory, as being drunk can lead to stupid things, police, and regrets. And if you can, maybe consider counseling if you can afford it. I know what you'll say, "I don't need that," but you do, believe me. To understand why, if nothing else, plus it's a safe place to vent, which you will do, trust me on that. I know others will suggest things, so take all the suggestions, and it's up to you to use them. As I said, you're not the first or the last to go through this. It sucks big time, but you will get through this. Trust me, my DDay was over 27 years ago, and I made it. It's going to be challenging at times, but you have friends here who will listen when you need to vent and if you ask for advice. So, good luck; I genuinely hope you get what you want.
