I really like exotic sports cars but don't want the responsibilities of maintenance, insurance, and theft prevention. A good compromise is to rent one occasionally, drive it hard, then return it so other guys can have their turn.

After the first divorce I thought I did some things wrong. Worked on myself, corrected mistakes, changed a lot.

Now my second marriage is ending in divorce too, thank god it's quiet and amicable so far (so apparently some corrections worked).

But still, same as you OP. I am attracted to women, I'd even say I like women in general, but the next time one of them offers to move in I'll say no.

What I'm about to say, I say emotionally and romantically. It's not sexual at all.

I see relationships as two pieces of hardware that come together, match up, and form a bond. That's great when it works. I'm a nurse. I see elderly couples who are incredibly loving and each partner would do anything and everything for their spouse. My problem is that the last relationship that I had totally disfigured and broke my ability to match up with another love. Even if I did manage to meet a wonderful woman who would actually want to be with me, I don't feel like I could form that connection again because of how broken and disfigured I am now.

Relationships are fantastic when you have good boundaries and don't compromise on them. And completely support their not compromising on theirs. And sometimes those are incompatible, and that's ok too! We all need more friends.

The thing is they're never generally better or more exciting than in trh first couple of years are they? Someone would try to play on semantics and say define better because while she's not physically attractive and things can be hard, we've grown together an wouldn't change it for anything etc... like yeah I'd you're fortunate and neither of you wavers maybe you become comfortable together and absolutely decades together can mean some huge trust built. I get it... But it seems more the exception these days and you still wonder if there was stuff they gave up they wish they could still do etc
