Posted this in the "other sub" but I think I should share it here too.

I'm at the beginning of a pretty ugly divorce case. We have a son, who I am the primary care for due to recent alcohol and drug spiral from his mother.

I have been worried every minute of every day that the government would take my son away except for every other weekend. Today that's exactly what happened, but it happened to her.

My son will spend the majority of his time at home, able to focus on school and his games until Friend of the Court makes their recommendation. He and I can start to build a new life together away from all the silliness.

There is a long way to go, BUT IT CAN BE DONE, fellow dads who seek primary custody. It's a dream come true for me and my boy.
