Men suffer in silence! If you mean leave silently, then that's what most of us have done during the divorce. This sub however is the few outlets men have to share their grief, what they have been through, advice and build each other up. This is a good place for men.

Good for you. Legit. I wish it was this "easy" for many of us. Having a kid with my ex is forcing entirely too many interactions with the ex and her family. it's unpleasant at best most of the time. And I have to say nothing and do nothing in her presence because literally anything I exist with around her she over-reacts to, gets emotional and I get chastised by everyone.

Like today, I was getting some of my furniture from the house she's taking in the divorce. She starts popping off snide comments about things we never fixed in the house to her family, and I simply chime in "yeah, would have been nice if we could have saved up the money to fix all of that." (because she routinely spent all our money on clothes and books and hiking/camping gear and refused to cut back so we could save up for repairs and pay off debts).

Then later she pops off to her sister "if I find any more of (my) stuff I'll just toss it in the garage and he can come get it at some point." The garage has a unique issue where when it rains, water floods in the side door and runs through half the garage and out from under the garage door. So I simply say "please just make sure you don't put my stuff where the water floods if it rains, that would be rude as my stuff would get wet and start to mold."

And she turns red, starts crying, and has to be consoled by her mom while her sister starts berating me for my disrespectful comments. To be clear, I was only there getting some of my furniture because i found out through her mom's fiancé that she was going to dump all my furniture directly in the flood path. So it was a valid comment IMO that needed to be stated so she can't ruin anything she finds of mine and pretend she didn't know.

My neighbor saw me and asked why I was packing. I said "the wife didn't want to be married to me anymore." and he looked devastated, shook my hand and wished me well. Good neighbor. Quiet, kept his lawn mowed. Friendly whenever I saw him.
