I'm sure a lot of guys have posted here about this, but I (28m) and my soon ex (35f) have just really started to get into the meat and potatoes of the divorce process. It's been... difficult for me, to say the least. She lives in a different state with our daughter, since I moved to where I am now to find work, and the spark just... died.

A few years of living like a wallet later, and here she and I are. We both agreed to the divorce, but she's been mighty cantankerous ever since then. I won't say I've been the most amiable at times, mostly out of retaliation, but I will say MOST of the nasty feelings between she and I have been worked out by now, at least on my end.

A few of my friends have told me I should try to get back out into the dating pool in the mean time, but the idea just doesn't appeal to me. One of the biggest issues that brought this all about was, at least for me, the loss of intimacy between she and I. The thought of trying to get that again just feels like a lost cause to me, what with the state of the world being what it is now and how women are nowadays.

Some of them say my lack of wanting to date another woman who already has kids, because my ex came in with two of her own that I helped raise, is immature, but I just can't do that again. I realize that kind of limits the pool for me, but I already did it once and don't want to do it again, it just caused a lot of needless issues. So I guess just looking for ideas or support on that fact, not really sure what to do and have already consigned myself to not putting myself out there again.
