As the divorce continues to get more contentious (this weekend she filed an OP w/ false allegations and is now keeping my children from me)...I've given a lot of thought to how we can try to equitably settle and be done. As it stands, if 50/50 or even 60/40 (her 60) is awarded, she'll have to pay CS/Maintenance and we still haven't come do a property agreement. She really doesn't want to have to pay CS/Maintenance. Understandable, but her new reality.

I'm debating talking w/ my attorney and offering a final offer before this whole mess goes to court. Just offering her not to have to pay anything other than a lump sum payment that I will use to purchase a suitable house for myself and children. I don't care if the stipulations are only for that, the money put in escrow until I find a house, whatever.

The thing is the lump sum would be approximately half of the future CS/Maintenance due, but I'm willing to forgo that and just cut ties as much as possible.'

Thoughts? Stupid Move?
